Strange that all this info on ALP involvement should come to light just 2 weeks before an election....
I think its safe to say if the libs were in power at the time of the scandal, we'd be exactly the same boat.

Lib = ALP when it comes to doing dodgy business deals to benefit individuals

Doesn’t mean that it’s not true. PS, I'm not politically affiliated...but I do believe I calling out bullshit when needed. And again, plenty more to come.

Fair enough, but clearly you do have a motivation that is not related to the Hird / Essendon case.

In the interests of disclosure, now that you have let slip that your missives of the past two days are a series of emails, can you let us know some of the other parties in receipt of these emails?

if not politically?

I'm good at dot to dot, but you've lost me. I'm missing the link from Sheepstation to Evans to Calzada

LOL, this could really be a case of truth hurts ?

Read his post, Mr echo actually generalises as well, but claims he doesn't.

Are you really so immature that you believe that likes proves posts are either BS or correct. :D:D

Direct a post to me then claim you are going to put me on ignore :D

Have you had your coffee yet this morning ?.
(Posted it whilst I was drinking one. Caffeine hadn't kicked in. Might have a point).

Just wonder why you concentrate on which team someone supports rather than what they're saying? Any answer to that mate?

Hi all,
Good morning. Further to yesterdays’ initial email, today’s one focuses on the ”Dean Robinson Defamation” case. The inference and link is that, again, Bill Kelty had more of a hand in this the we are being led to believe.

You may remember from my initial email yesterday that we discussed Bill Kelty is in a ‘Conflict of Interest’ dilemma, being an AFL Commissioner and a Board Member of David Evans Private Company, Evans and Partner. Kelty is also an ex-ACTU President.

I also referred to possible ALP interference in all this. Most of my data presented to date has an “ALP/Union” tone/link to it.

Now read the sequence of events below.

1. Base Story starts by outlining how the AFL/Essendon engaged “Essential Media Communications” to help strategize the response to Essendon/ASADA matter in early February 2013 (see: http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/la...egoat-court-told/story-fni0fee2-1227043770111)

“A FORMER strength coach with the Bombers has alleged a spin doctor came up with the idea to blame “rogue operators’’ for the supplements scandal and used dumped fitness chief Dean Robinson as a “scapegoat’’, the Supreme Court has heard.

Suki Hobson, who quit the Bombers late last year, allegedly told Robinson she attended a meeting in March last year with club chiefs in which Essential Media Communications director Elizabeth Lukin spoke about a “rogue operator strategy’’.”

2. Base “Essential Media” website, showing offices in Sydney and Melbourne (http://essentialmedia.com.au/contact/)

3. ASIC records show “Essential Media” (via ABN 48 074 671 462) to be really based in Brisbane, in the same building as the ALP’s Queensland offices (Building is TLC Building, 16 Peel Street Brisbane. Essential Media is on Level 3, ALP Queensland is on Level 1)

4. Further digging shows Essential Media Communications to be specialists advisors to both the Australian Labor Party and to the ACTU (Trade Union Council)

Example articles that show this are: http://www.abc.net.au/news/2013-03-19/lewiswoods-values/4581706 and http://www.crikey.com.au/2013/05/29/the-power-index-election-deciders-ad-creatives-at-6/?wpmp_switcher=mobile

Quotes from the two links just provided include: “Question design and analysis are carried out by Essential Research, the research arm of Essential Media Communications.” And “Essential Media Communications, the progressive polling and campaigning outfit behind the Australian Council of Trade Unions’ 2007 Your Rights at Work campaign, is now running the show. Labor sources say the crew is already working hard at EMC’s Sussex Street HQ, with ALP assistant national secretary Nick Martin overseeing efforts.”

5. Current AFL Commissioner Bill Kelty is also ex ACTU President. It’s highly possible that in early Feb 2013, when Essendon/ASADA was about to ‘break’ that Essential Media Communications was called into AFL House, and that’s the meeting Dean Robinson is taking Court action against, as stated in the Media articles of 1 September 2014.

Attachments, showing screenshots and ‘directions’ on how to extract the data I have found, I have also.

There's nothing terribly odd about all that, Cozza. If you can connect it more solidly to obvious or apparent attempts to influence ASADA, from beyond the EFC, OK. And, I'm still interested.

I've long thought Kelty was heavily conflicted, and there were examples of him discarding his commissioner's hat, in favour of parochial and impassioned advocacy for the EFC and its coach. One or the other, Bill, one or the other.

But, the EFC were always going to engage a PR mob, and such engagements are all about connection, always. I've long detested everything about the PR caper, and as time rolls on the practice enrages me, more and more. Outfits can whack words like "communications" and "strategic" in their names as much as they like, but they're still just devotees of Edward Bernays, Freud's nephew, who wrote "Propaganda" in the late '20's. And, it only became Public Relations because Hitler was a fan, and devoted significant resources to his 'Ministry of Propaganda', as he got on a roll in the '30's. The refinements of Bernays' original work, in the 80+ years since he wrote "Propaganda" have been more and more about satisfying corporeate needs and desires, and less and less about relating to the public.

There were obvious examples of attempts to influence ASADA from the outside. Andrushka's affidavits to the court in the Middleton phase explained some of those attempts to influence ASADA. Eccles loomed large in AA's notes, for instance. But, I took that as coming from the government wanting any and all controversy of its plate before the election. While Kelty may be shown to have played a role, via the government, I haven't been able to extend Kelty's connection beyond the AFL and EFC conflict. If you can, I'm all ears....

I also thought AA's affidavits showed her to have been solidly resolute in resisting a variety of interests who tried to break through ASADA's independence.

The other significant example of an attempt to influence was John Wiley, ASC Chairman, and one half of the former lords of the universe, Carnegie Wiley. Being an investment banker, Wiley has all sorts of connections, across both the political and business spectrum. From what I've been able to glean, Wiley seems to have offered his services, passionately, rather than simply responded to a request, from somewhere.

I also know Wiley got bitch slapped for his attempts, by a very solidly principled citizen involved in the management ranks in the ACT sporting community (ASC, AIS and ASADSA). What's more, he hasn't said "boo" since the slapping, and the lesser mortals in the ACT were more than chuffed they no longer have to put up with Wiley's heavy handed and belligerent instructions to them, to look the other way.

But, like I said, if you firm up the connections you're pointing to, I'm all ears. I just want to understand what happened, in its entirety.

The main motivation is call out bullshit, without fear or favour.
And yet here you are pretending to contribute to a football discussion. Sort of seems like bullshit that should be called out, no?

And you ignore the inconvenient question about your email list. Seems like a bit of fear there, of revealing your agenda maybe.

Mate, you’re obviously someone's lackey trying to play clever politics. It doesn't wash.

Time for a new alias and be a bit more subtle about it next time.

I am neither religious nor conservative and you will find a fair chunk of Hawthorn's supporter base is the same.

You will find the greater cause of dislike of Essendon by Hawthorn supporters commenced between 1983-85, grew in the ongoing stoushes in the 80's (Brereton running through the Essendon huddle a prime example), was reinforced through the 90s when Essendon used to beat us up for fun, was strengthened by a 9 point loss in the 2001 Preliminary Final with one of the most one sided umpiring displays gifting Essendon four goals in the first quarter and seared into our marrow with the Line in the Sand game.

Religion and political persuasion is a very long way down the queue.
I'm an annoying latte sipping Green voting atheist (and hence definitely middle class I will confess).WTF has any of this to do with what I think about this ...
Actually, might have a lot to do with it! A disdain for corporations treating their staff and the public like idiots?

We all come at this from different angles but at the end of the day we want the truth and to start enjoying our footy again

What's the email list? I'm still waiting for the explanation of why Geelong 'got off lightly' from this whole business, as Cozzad wrote yesterday. So far there's been a bunch of links about property purchases in Armstrong Creek, the requisite ALP dubiousness, and precious little that ties it all together, or suggests specific wrongdoing by the club.

Ok, the EFC used a PR mob with close connections with the ALP/ACTU, perhaps at the instigation of the AFL (because you say the AFL/EFC engaged EMC).

I think we can all understand and accept that they would have worked on the "rogue operator strategy", afterall, Dank's infamy knew no bounds by this point (I assume the rogue operator strategy has him front and centre).

But...

1. Didn't the AFL have a concurrent strategy which was about laying it all on Hird (even the former ASADA CEO had taken notes to that effect).
2. A PR strategy is one thing, but being the subject of an ASADA investigation (who are meant to be independent), is another matter again.
3. Which brings us to the question which has been left hanging since yesterday: what is the thread of the story linking the super-profits from dodgy land deals years ago to the ASADA investigation?

Maybe its correct, maybe it is not. The observation regarding going off reservation is, imho still valid.

Many of Muller-Wohlfarth's treatments are controversial, including using injections of a substance called Hylart, extracted from the combs of roosters, which is claimed to help lubricate knee injuries and take away the pain.

He has also injected honey or calves' blood into patients.

The doc may have used lots of different stuff, but on Rookie it was Actovegen, which is own nebulous nonsense. They did indeed go off reservation, but were using a treatment that had been publicly linked to other athletes and discussed, and WADA approved.

Geelong doctor Chris Bradshaw said he had used Muller-Wohlfarth during his time at Premier League club Fulham. Ronaldo, Maurice Greene, Darren Gough and Jose Maria Olazabal are among international sportsmen the Bayern Munich club doctor has helped.

There is off-reservation, and there is offfffff-reservation. In 2008 you have Geelong Dr Chris Bradshaw willing to use Wohlfarth but already seemingly dismissive of Dank's techniques.

As one bloke pointed out here yeterday, there are two major things at play, the drug issue, but also the Corporate Governance/Conflict of Interest/Possible Corruption issue.

Before deciding to log on, all this website seemed to be locked onto, was the drugs. The Infraction Notices are not the be all and end all of this, there is still major Corporate Governance/Conflict of Interest/Possible Corruption issues the game needs to address.

Remove the blinkers crew, stop looking at the drugs as the be all and end all. The 'mechanics' as to why we even have an "ASADA issue" at all need to be worked out.

....have you got a copy of the Alavi tape Cozza mate?

No I don't.... but ask yourself why the tape was made in the first place? It was made after Ratten cracked it after Ess-Carl in April/May 2012, when Ratten sent his fitness crew to work out how Ess got so bulked up. Ratten has largely kept his counsel since ASADA broke, he should be spoken to. it's a fair assumption to say that Carl, via Ratten, smelt a rat.

The email list? Some people have the email, some don't. End of. Respect privacy and the fact I'm trying to help.
The problem you have is that, on this Board there are some very intelligent people, who have an ability to think logically and see non sequitur stories .

Now, I'd recommend you take your theory to Bay 13 as I'm sure it will get far more traction there
