All speculative.
100%.
But that doesn't mean there has been no suggestion ...

All speculative.
There's been suggestive comments about 5 other clubs. But nothing other than a club doctor being sacked nothing has come of it.100%.
But that doesn't mean there has been no suggestion ...
He says he has more, let's wait and see.Pretty epic from Cozz but how much of this is watertight and can be substantiated?

I stand corrected. I misspoke. Should have said "there is no evidence that Bomber was into peds at Geelong"No, you said (quote) "there is no suggestion that Bomber was into peds at Geelong"
I refute that. I'm not saying there is evidence, but God knows there has been plenty of suggestion, rumour, innuendo, call it what you like. Maybe it's just jealousy due to the 3 flags in 5 years, but it's just wrong to say there has been no suggestion of the possibility. Indeed there has been enough to trigger some to have "where there's smoke" thoughts.
I was just surprised that a Geelong supporter had never heard any of the (possibly scurrilous) rumours.
Frankly, I think his head will explode when he discovers that the Hird connection is more than just innuendo and coincidence. He says he has more, let's wait and see.

Maybe someone should follow Martin Hardie's example with asking the AFP to investigate McDevitt and invite the ATO and ASIC to have a gander as to what was going on?
Did Bomber buy into the Hird crap that they were railroaded with the AFL fines and suspensions? I thought they (including Bomber) got off lightly. Bomber should have got 12 months for being for being stupid. Hird a life ban. Reid should have announced his "retirement" from the game. But he can't afford $30K.![]()
A lot of it is already known.
The real question is: what is the connection to the ASADA investigation?
Is there an interesting conclusion to it all and will it shed any light on this 21+ month long saga?
True. Here i am agreeing with GG.
All of it is already known and the semi relevant stuff has been discussed right here 18 months ago.
None of it has any connection to the ASADA Investigation or drugs in sport.
And there will be no interesting conclusion.
He says he has more, let's wait and see.
True, I am a Geelong supporter.
That does not make any difference if you bring out any substantial evidence against Geelong. I'll just look silly defending it.
So where is the evidence after 2 years. We know the scandal touched Brisbane and Melbourne. We know there was no widespread drug program at either clubs. We know ASADA did do a forensic accounting check on Geelong and cleared it.
But where is this evidence about Geelong that makes you convinced? So far you have offered - "the vibe".
Yeah, the AFLs look into other clubs was cursory at best. It was in no way thoroughThe part about asada doing a forensic accounting check isn't correct, as I recall the check was done by the afl, the same unit that gave Melbourne the thumbs up before their dank links were exposed, and later back tracked and revealed that rather being forensic they relied upon the clubs providing them with a list of what they were using if memory serves me correct, could be wrong but that's how I remember that.

Well known Bombers a Protestant/establishment/Liberal club from way back, though still a swag of RC supporters like my family. Prots = Libs, RC obv the Irish/Labor Party. I know for a fact there were RC players who left the club in the 40s and 50s because of the overt Protestant influence at the club wherein they weren't getting a fair go.
OK. I might have been getting my wires crossed. This article mentioned ASADA went through Geelong back in 2007.The part about asada doing a forensic accounting check isn't correct, as I recall the check was done by the afl, the same unit that gave Melbourne the thumbs up before their dank links were exposed, and later back tracked and revealed that rather being forensic they relied upon the clubs providing them with a list of what they were using if memory serves me correct, could be wrong but that's how I remember that.
Or 91 93 95 96 97 98 99 2000 etc etcNot so different to their testing regime 1992-94, hey?
Not so, ASADA has routinely been down to Geelong since 2007 to have a look:The part about asada doing a forensic accounting check isn't correct, as I recall the check was done by the afl, the same unit that gave Melbourne the thumbs up before their dank links were exposed, and later back tracked and revealed that rather being forensic they relied upon the clubs providing them with a list of what they were using if memory serves me correct, could be wrong but that's how I remember that.
That's right - play the man. Let's just ignore anything a Hawthorn poster says now. PatheticHawthorn's history is not as long, but they have a incredible amount of similarity to Essendon in regards to traditional Protestant demos, a middle class conservative outlook etc etc , hence IMO Hawthorn is the true traditional foe of Essendon far more IMO than North Melbourne.
And that is why you will find a extra amount of Hawthorn fans on the HTB laying the boot in, some are far more obvious than others though, some names crop up every day.
They can't help it, doesn't really matter at the end of the day to them whether Essendon is guilty or not.
Suggestions motivated by jealousy -just like you said. Just a brilliant team. Put up something other than innuendo.100%.
But that doesn't mean there has been no suggestion ...
