Clubs will be offering big contracts his way, driving his price up.
Unless he accepts less to stay. I see his market price around 900k a year.
I think he's very underrated outside of Essendon, I think $700k is fair value. He is a star, but he's not worth more than that.

Super important signing.
I'd be surprised if he hasn't got big offers on the table.
I think his next contract will be close to 1mill a year.
I really doubt that. He's good but there's no half back in the league that would attract that money. Not even Tom Stewart.

Yes 700k is about right, but not my point.
What is your point? You seem to have just stuck your flag in the sand and shouted "Mason Redman will command $1m per year!!!" and proceeded to argue with anyone who refutes that.

How on earth can you suggest that a very good (but not elite) player who is unproven outside of D50 is worth $1m per year?

I just told you why I think that. And I agreed with you with his actual value. So how am I disregarding others opinion?
It seems you are the one here who is doing that.

Latest mail he is he sort of waiting to see what happens with Parish.

Parish wants close to a million a year in his next contract, which Essendon are hesitant to pay. If Parish goes Redman likely stays as cash will be freed up.

If Parish stays Adelaide have a 5 year deal on the table
We have cash for Mason regardless of Parish.

Okay, bye Darcy. Thanks for playing 100 games.

He's a free agent.

Fair enough if you think you'll match, but it's only happened once.

I think one of the SA clubs will make a BIG offer, based on not needing draft capital to get him. If Essendon match it, they may be the first club to match and keep a player.
Zerk-Thatcher is not a free agent

We were below the salary floor going into last offseason, and only added Setterfield and Weideman outside of the draft class.

Having enough cash is not going to be the sticking point on either Parish or Redman.

Parish would already be on great money, Redman on decent money, both in line for a pay day but the Bombers will only at a guess need to find 200-300k more to satisfy them, where as other clubs will need to find 700k+ to get them in. Salary not an issue.

I’d be surprised if either leave, would love Redman at the Blues next to his old buddy Saad.

Half backs dont get that money (carlton zac williams stupidity aside) elite mids and power kpfs do.

Because it would trigger band one compensation from the AFL.

Money isn't an issue for us just pay up what they are worth
