Just release a complete edition ffs.

It's annoying that I can get all three games dirt cheap on pc, but the DLC is still full price and never gets reduced.
Complete edition for PS4 please!

most of the leads are the same, but it has a new lead writer (bloke who wrote for 343 and his first head writer gig was Halo 4)
and the producer who was in charge of ME3's DLC (which improved the by 9000%) has taken over.
frostbite 3.0

Wasn't 4 criticised for its story?

Although I suppose he's got a relatively fresh start now. Doesn't have to carry on the Shepard story.

Major complaint was the multiplayer and shocking support they gave the game. In the cold light of day people liked the story. There was a lot of hate for the enemies and how they were inplemented but the characters and overall story were solid. I wouldnt be too worried

Can't wait for this, I love this series.
Currently replaying ME1 for the 3rd time.

I hope they bring back the planet exploration from ME1.

Will be interesting to see how storylines go with last gen to this gen. Was easy when i could play them all on 360. Character and choices carried over each game. Especially now im on ps4...

Might be another interactive backstory thing like the PS3 got for ME2.

Is this is a prequel or has the story moved on? If it has moved on then they are always going to disappoint some when they decide which ME3 ending is canon; destruction, symbiosis or control. Of course they could have just gone along with the indoctrination theory (that I still hold dear even though Bioware ruled it out) where Shep was really indoctrinated at some point late while fighting on Earth, and that with the 'perfect ending' with all loose ends tied up and whatever the galactic readiness that was required you see an N7 badge gasp under some rubble as if still alive.

We had Saren and the Collectors as main enemies but there was always the Reapers. I'm going to eat up whatever they serve but it's hard to imagine a ME without Reapers. Even if they aren't in it at least bring in the Leviathan or something again and let us learn more about the Reapers. That bit of DLC was hands down my favourite for the juicy lore that a little part of me thinks was criminal to leave out of the base game.

Well in one of the concept pieces the Citadel still looks in tact so

I guess they're not going down the destruction path. Unless that's not actually the Citadel, but it looks like the Presidium.
The Citadel isn't destroyed in the destroy ending, especially so if Shepard lives.

My preference would be a game set a few hundred years in the future.

Also for the enemy to not be as big or galaxy threatening.

In the Destroy ending you see the Citadel go kaboom, a massive explosion from the Presidium then the wards flap about. I don't think the Crucible discriminated what machine or relay it destroyed, but maybe it didn't completely blow the Citadel to pieces and was able to be rebuilt. In saying that the only way we'd be able to explore which Bioware says we'll be able to do is with the assistance of relays, so maybe it is far enough into the future and much was able to be rebuilt.

I have played the destroy ending once with very high War Assets and the Extended Cut. The Citadel is not annihilated. The ending shows that the arms come back together, which we already knew they could do. The relays are also rebuilt quickly.

You're right, I had to look it up. I have played it too with maximum assets and readiness and I don't remember this since my first 3 completions were before the extended cut and Citadel DLC. I only got around to playing them last year to check it out but clearly the info didn't stick. The Citadel looked pretty worse for wear but Keepers must have survived to rebuild it if that were the case.

yeap no more Shepard his story and the reapers ended with ME3 (as it ****ing should), also they're focusing on a "new" area of space.
and according to the round table of N7 its focusing on exploration and making it a pillar of the game. they also aren't focusing on making ME4 as they are in doing the largest mass effect on focusing on the galaxy.

this fits with everything they've said so far, moving away from the concept of "Shepard" (a soldier and savoir)

Mako to feature heavily, they talk about the mako the way they used to talk about the Normandy.
they are playing around with customisation of the mako to bring a personal connection to the mako (this is a concept an idea it might not make the final cut)

they want exploration they want it to be "stunning" beautiful but also dangerous. (in other words bioware and their foreboding)
New races confirmed.
one species surrounds vaults and tomb worlds (for those nerds out their this was hinted at way back in ME1, and theirs a codex about a "tomb"world planet)

person is going to be skilled, talented and but be basically a nobody. your going to build the characters reputation it's basically a journey building the character into a hero. rather then be the hero like Shepard was from the get go. they want to marry a personal story with an epic journey.

currently their trying to balance exploration with shooting things in face.

I get the feeling that this will be Mass effects take on star trek.

Anyone else despise the mako? I hated getting into that thing.
