Just finished ME2 brilliant!!! And told the illusive man to stick it up himself while I was at it, even through its had to be pissed at Martin Sheens voice (it's so persuasive) anyway will get stuck in to ME3 very soon!! And looking forward to it.

Even the crappy ending everyone tells me about.

Happy gaming people. :)

I actually saved the base on my first playthrough because I didn't realise Shepard would be leaving Cerberus and handing the base to TIM. Now I know better.

Make sure you download the Extended Cut for Mass Effect 3.

It's much better than the original.

Do I need to download it before I start the game?

The extended cut makes the endings a bit better I think - in hindsight, I wish they had taken a few more months to put this into the game than the original endings (though I guess they weren't aware of the backlash the original endings would have caused).

Apart from the endings, the characters, universe, lore and story are very well done. Haven't touched ME3 since I got my platinum (only motivating factor to replay after my first playthrough) though that final DLC, shore leave or whatever seems like it might be worth another look (as the squadmates are the real highlight of the game for me).

I'm interested in seeing where Bioware take ME in the future

giggler99 I wish I could start the series again without any prior knowledge of it. Very jealous of your situation :)

I wasn't as sceptical on ME3's ending as what you'll find in reviews, but definitely agree it could've been a bit tidier.

The series on a whole though - hands down the best gaming experience I've had.

Sounds like Bioshock Infinite might give it a run for it's money though.

Yeah pal it's bloody brilliant haven't played or watched anything like it before that has gotten be so hooked and had my imagination wondering about the Galaxy and I'm a si-fi buff :)

Have just started ME3 loved having to go to Mars for a mission and this illusive man is some dodgy bloke, I really would love to kick his ass I hope I get the chance, ME3's game controls are a little loose compare to ME2 especially running I roll before I run which is very annoying. Apart from that Its been Ok not as good as ME2 from what I have played so far but I have just started so hoping it will get much more exciting.

Commenced another playthrough of the saga.... I just can't get enough.... I just can't get enough
Same here, I've now played each of the titles 3 times over within the last year (All as FemShep mind you).

The more I play ME3 the more I love it, **** the ending it's still a great game.

Finally got around to playing Citadel and it's not too bad. A tip for anyone who hasn't played it: don't even bother trying to do it on insanity difficulty. I was playing through on insanity trying to get the achievement but that was too frustrating and time consuming and I had to drop the level down.

I know that feel, tried it on Hardcore mode and spent near 4 hours trying to beat the final boss.

Even the first part was a struggle. I managed to work out how to get through by killing the first couple of mercs and then just running to the end. I tried for about 3 hours on insanity to beat the boss but I gave up. It would have helped if I was a biotic or took Liara with me.

Maybe, I had Garrus & Kaiden with me they did SFA besides their 'overload' command. The constant spawning of backup soldiers was my Achilles heel in that battle, reckon I would've smacked the boss 1v1 (Did manage to somewhat isolate the boss behind some crates for a short time).

What class did you play as?

I'm a soldier. I took in Wrex and Javik the first time on insanity then dropped it to normal and took in Liara and Wrex and finished it in about 10 minutes. The grenades are what kept getting me. If it was just the boss and Brooks then insanity wouldn't have been too difficult.

Vanguard was a nightmare to verse, I swear the CPU was cheating with some of the biotic powers, was driving me ****ing nuts.

I could match it blow for blow until just before it used it's 3rd medi-gel, just before the cutscene no matter how much damage I did the CPU always found a way to kill me just before that cutscene halfway through the battle. If i didn't lower the difficulty I would of been buying a new TV.

I'm surprised I haven't smashed the T.V after playing the ME trilogy. Some of the missions are ridiculously hard and time consuming. The end game is just a nightmare where there are

a whole heap of brutes and banshees just before the final run to the citadel portal thing

Love that bit, one play-through I spent 2 hours just smashing Brutes and Banshees in that area just to see how long I could last, still reckon it's easier than Fake Shepard.

Definitely easier but also just as frustrating. I hate banshees. Brutes I can handle easy enough but banshees are a real pain. It's like fighting the Asari commandos from ME1 on steroids.

The one thing I hate about the banshee is the 1 hit K.O. move they seem to use frequently on higher difficulties, a Vanguard's worst nightmare.

Without the dodge mechanic, ME3 as a closer quarters class would be suicide.

Just Finished ME3!!

I don't think the ended was as bad as most people have lead me to beleive it would be, sure it's a little silly but it wasn't the wtf I was expecting . Anyway was an awesome game not as good as ME2 but still awesome none the less.

My favourite levels due to some kickass action

Sur' Kesh
Tuchanka
Rannoch

So I've come to the end, what a trilogy!! Pretty much was everything I wanted in space si-fi action advantages there where some heart felt emotional moments as well as some fist pumping triumphs none better then the ending of ME2!
The attention to details that went in to every planet and Aliens was truly amazing including its cultures and histories just made me feel apart of the whole experience, the Krogans where my favourites btw.

Can't wait for ME4 to come out now will be looking forward to more kickass action from the Mass effect Universe.

Glad to see you enjoyed it Giggler99. The trilogy is just that good that i think a gamer hasn't truly experienced this generation until they have played it. Great games, can't wait to see what Bioware do next.

If a 4th was to be made, what period would people like to see? I would like something to do with the 1st contact war or even one of the earlier civilisations fight against the reapers.
