Got everything out of himself he could. I still remember how psyched I was when we drafted him and had the brothers playing together. Something just feels special about that.

Feels like the correct move though, sounds like his hips are not getting better or going to allow him to play consistently anymore

Have a signed Matt Crouch photo that sits on the mantle piece at home, is my husband's favourite player.

A wonderful career Matt, wishing you all the best in whatever you choose to pursue post football
Your husband has good taste.
Much maligned over the years (Matty not your husband :p ) One of my favourites and I think one of our best mids despite his perceived lack of versatility.
Its easy to forget how good his AA year was. All the best Matty and hope you have an enjoyable retirement.

All the best Matt.

When people were trying to give us shit about trading Bernie, Matt slotted into the side and didn't look out of place at all. I always thought that was some of our better list management.

Was a genuine win:win:win. We got a quality on baller for a bloke that was far too comfortable cruising. Melbourne got the version of Vince that he wouldn’t provide to us. And Vince got the kick up the butt he needed to prove he wasn’t a one year wonder.

Cheers for your service matty.
All the best in your future endeavors
great servant for the club. excellent value for a pick in the 20's. at one time broke the yearly record for most ever disposals in an AFL season

LOVED his vitriolic look and body contact on Danger before the 2017 Prelim as Danger was running past him. Literally frothing at the mouth and he felt genuine hatred to Danger in that moment and Danger seemed surprised

Good on him for going out on his own terms, rather than trying desperately to chase a few more games in between injuries and question marks over his place in the best 22.

I've always had a soft spot for the accumulators. One of my absolute favourite players of the Sanderson/Walsh/Pyke era. Thanks for everything Crouchy!

As a fun little footnote, the compensation pick we got for his brother ended up being used on Sam Berry, the player who essentially replaced Matt this year.

He and his brother elevated us to another level in 2017 finals.

Glad to see him get back over the last couple of seasons and play good footy.

Clearly impacted by injuries, which ultimately finished his career prematurely, but glad he finishes a Crow.

A ball magnet, as others have mentioned. I always thought there was a bit of Andrew Jarman in the way he found the ball inside and was able to create with a handball.

Well played M. Crouch.

Wishing Matty all the best for his future. A good bloke, and a super footballer who never got the accolades he was due from some quarters of the supporter base.
He will retire an AA and B&F, and a one club player who will always be welcomed at the club. Now get busy working on multiple father/sons for us.

Thanks Matt, you did you and your family proud.

What a huge rollercoaster ride throughout his career, some big highs a some tough lows.

All the best for the future

Played tough, played with heart.
Fought for the jumper, club and always his team mates. Loved the passion.

Didn't mind a good hat flip of the filth. 😂

Was a very good player until injuries started a few years ago now. Got back to good footy again but injury again. Thanks Crouchy.
