IMO this isn't looking good. Max Payne isn't some colourful game set in the tropics, WTF?!!!

Really hope they haven't ****ed with the awesome formula of the previous games.

Here's a small fact sheet from the magazine that those screenshots came from. Offers up some good news about the engine and physics which will be the same as that used on GTA IV(Which IMO is probably the single best engine out there at the moment).

About Brazil

Sao Paolo’s young gangs are amongst the most violent in the world, and the most dangerous of those is said to be the Primeiro Comando da Capital. The PCC has organized prison breaks, prison riots, drug trafficking, highway robberies and kidnappings since it was formed in 1993. With one gun for every 75 people in the country and 95% of those firearms obtained illegally, Max will need every skill he has in order to survive.

So they've ditched the film noir detective style for what looks like an Uncharted rip-off? Bad move IMO. Only thing that set the old Max Payne games apart was that style. Bullet-time, and everything else, have now been done to death. I'm a big fan of the old games, but I wont be buying this game.

I'll hold out a little hope that they will still use the film noir comic book style, but it does look like they've gone the way of the action-cliché game.

Could all come down to the developer change, since Remedy are busy bringing out Alan Wake they aren't doing Max Payne 3(They did Max Payne 1 & 2) so the game could falter from not having the original developer behind the helm and going with one that made an alright but completely different game game in Bully.

Soon as i saw Max payne 3 coming out i thought oh hell yeah.
After seeing screenshots or artwork? im not so keen now.

Looks like it will be just another ordinary action game.
Get the feeling it will be abit like stranglehold.

Since the expansion packs my opinion of GTA4 has definately swung it back from being a really good game with flaws, to being a 100% rad game.

I love GTA4, and since i have a new HDD on my 360 and lost all previous save games, i have restarted the campaign. It is even better the second time around.

That's your opinion and going by many others, they would disagree with you. GTA IV wasn't good, it was repetitive, over hyped and boring.

But really GTA IV wasn't 'awesome' (just 'really good' IYO) as it was and it took an expansion to the game (only available on 1 of the 3 platforms it was released on too as we all know) in order to make it 'awesome', not to mention it really isn't 'GTA IV', technically speaking anyway.

So really you can't take Max Payne 3 to be 'awesome' just because of Rockstar, if GTA IV wasn't without the extra content.

Nah not at all. GTA4 was an odd one for me. At first I was blown away, played it to death for hours and hours. It wasn't till after i'd finished it and it'd entertained me for so long, that i went "Hmm....a few things sorta bugged me about that game"

Then playing the expansion packs without the niggles made me realise how good it actually was, and the niggles can be ignored in the main game so its no probs.

Was far more than a "good" game in retrospect imo
