He tipped a 5-0 Ashes whitewash.
It occurred.

He tipped that we would go through the World Cup undefeated. If this happens, Pidge has done very well.

Mate, he's done it his entire career.

Yes he has done this. But I bet even he was expecting it to be so easy. Let's face it the opposition has been poor. Hayden scaped into the team and has been the best batsman, Symonds was injured, Hussey's been out of form, ditto Gilly yet we've swept all before us. I bet even McGrath wouldn't have factored in how many teams have surrendered without a whimper.

We've been good and put on the pressure at key times but a lot of teams have been poor and at times have imploded even when they were getting on top of us.

Haydos was never in doubt.

Symonds hasn't been injured since the Pool matches.

Hussey has barely had an opportunity to build an innings.

Gilly is averaging around the high 30s with a good strike rate.

We are player better One Day Cricket then I have ever seen. Our bowling attack does not have a single passenger, and our top order has been so good that if Hussey is out of form, it's their fault for not letting him bat.

He had to get something right eventually. Took him until his final test series and ODI tournament though.

His career predictions are nothing more than arrogant trash talking. He's just lucky to be playing in a team that is capable of backing up his statements.

The credit for these outcomes should go directly to Ponting and Buchanan, who were the ultimate architects of these successes. Their leadership has been pivotal.

Of course Pidge will be all to happy to accept any credit deflected his way :thumbsu:

Pidge has made Ponting and Buchanan. Without him, we would not have won as many games over the years as we have. What is with your hatred of champions? Jealousy perhaps?

nah it's a hatred of australian success - likka is always ready with a putdown

if you were saying that ponting and buck were exceptional leaders, likka would say that they were lucky to have pidge...

...yawn

Like his prediction of his 299th and 300th Test wickets. Yes, McGrath is a one man team.

Look closer, Lenny!

Mcgrath is an all time great and an all time great winner.

He's rarely been wrong in his predictions, even in the 05 ashes he didn't play either test loss.

He goes out as the king of fast bowlers and also one of the true nice guys of the game, we are going to miss his honesty and humour when every player is a politically correct media trained clone with nothing to say.
