Question:: Is he better for our team than Carrazzo??

Yes. His floater to kick ratio is much lower.

I can't see Curnow, Ellard and him in the same side though. A better question might be "Is he a better player than Ellard at the moment?"

Best thing out of that article for me was Watson's performance. 25 disposals on Fev sounds promising. Fev did have 7 scoring shots though, but still Watson's only young and he had a real go. Good signs coz we definitely need another decent big defender.

Can anyone tell me if he played on Fev all match, or was he moved during some stages?

Thanks Sin, do you know if Fev scored all his goals against Watson or did he get a couple while Dare played on him?
I was only listening to it on the radio, from what I can tell in the reports Watson spent the majority of the game on Fev but the times where Dare was on him he was completely outclassed.

No he's not,Mclean's injuries have taken a toll and he's too slow and un-responsive for our high octane game. Won't be at Carlton that is a certainty

Is Brock a car now?

I think you're looking for reasons to justify your bias.

Robinson, Ellard and Curnow couldn't run out of sight on a dark night, but are playing through the midfield. A big motor and a football smarts is more important than being quick. Unlike Robinson, I don't see Mclean tiring due to his endurance. Mclean would still have him ranked in our top five or ten around Visy Park.

I have nothing personal against Brock, he really seems like a good bloke but the fact is, a quarter of the season is through and he still can't get a game. A big part of the reason why I think the club will move him on is that Murphy will need a big pay rise in his new contract and Brock is on a good wage i assume. I think the salary cap will squeeze him out more than anything. Am happy for Brock to prove me wrong though.

We need to keep Murphy at all costs. He is our most important player after Judd along with kreuzer.I reckon Murphy holding up too see how we go in the finals.I don't like the Essendon rumors you think they have a number of players also on good money.Their list is also runs deep.

Was sad to see Curnow go down tonight but the plus side of this it opens the door for Brock McLean.

I would put Brock ahead of Ellard also.

Seeing Curnow injured is probably the most beautiful thing Brock has seen all year.

Well, gives him the chance to come in and have an impact. If he is ineffectual, he will be out of the side as soon as Curnow is fit again.

It's unfortuanate that this has happened to a promising young talent, but there is really no net loss to the team.

If Curnow misses the Cats game i would be shocked to see McLean not get a run.

And if he does, you can count on him tearing it up. It's quite clear he's desperate to play.

Yeah, it might have even been Brock applying a pin to the shoulder of his Ed Curnow voodoo doll that did it....

For what its worth, I think we should all reserve judgement on Brock until he gets a decent run in the firsts. A lot of players rise on the bigger stage and Brock has shown during his career that he can be a very good player at the elite level.

The fact is that if Ed Curnow hadn't turned up and then grabbed his chance with both mitts Brock would be in the firsts, and who knows, perhaps even starring.

Brock is as close as you can get to a certainty if Curnow misses.

Knowing a little bit about the character of Brock, I would expect that he comes in and has a strong showing right from the start. He wont let this chance pass him by.

Brock will be keener than a particularly keen type of mustard to get a run, but I think it a bit of a knock on his character to suggest he thought Ed's injury a thing of beauty.

Let's just be thankful that its one area we can cover.

The bye coming this week is a beatiful thing...Warnock has been NQR for a number of weeks I suspect, just not covering the ground well. Judd has some extended spells on the bench which I hope was just a result of last week. Murph will appreciate it more than most, Laidler can hopefully freshen up...enjoy a deserved break guys.

If Curnow is to miss it would seem that Mclean is the obvious replacement.

My question is should he be given the game off for the Bullants to rest him up for his big moment?

Personally I'd like to see Cachia get a game before Brock. He's had plenty of chances and IMO he's not up to it.....Cachia looks like a firecracker and wouldn't mind seeing CFC throwing him in to the fray to see how he goes.

From any chances McLean has had he's shown he's more than up to it.

Personally, I would like to see everyone in the team apart from our top 10 or so players or those under and injury cloud have a run for the Bullants.

The bye isn't a blessing by any means.
