As far as the media/general public are concerned, the Tigers and Dees are young teams with stars in the making, and this year they should both be heading up the ladder.

I've looked at our draws to just after the midpoint of the season to estimate where we should/may be in relation to them:

North:
1 L WC A -4points
2 L Coll H -87
3 BYE
4 L Fre A -29
5 L Rich H -9
6 W PA H 60
7 L Gee A -66
8 W Melb H 41
9 W Bris A
10 W Syd H
11 W Adel H
12 W GC A
13 L Ess A

Rich:
1 L Carl A -20
2 D StK A 0
3 L Haw H -63
4 L Coll H -71
5 W NM A 9
6 W Bris H 26
7 W Fre H 49
8 L WB A -35
9 L Ess H
10 W PA A (Darwin)
11 BYE
12 L Syd A
13 W Bris A

Melb:
1 D Syd H 0
2 L Haw A -45
3 W Bris H 11
4 W GC A 90
5 BYE
6 L WC A -54
7 W Adel H 96
8 L NM A -41
9 W StK A
10 L Carl H
11 L Ess A
12 L Coll H
13 W Fre H

W-L-D:
North: 6-6-0
Rich: 5-6-1
Melb: 5-6-1

And I was generous with all three (Us def Syd & Bris, Rich def PA & Bris both away, Melb def StK & Fre)

I'll be looking forward to the final 11 rounds if that's where we were at!

Richmond have been impressive, all kudos deserved.

Melbourne would be 1-6 with a shitty % if they had our draw.

We are somewhere in between these sides right at the moment. Just gotta win this week and we're looking ok.

Lets just worry about our backyard and lets get some wins and just get better as a whole team.

um.... can we compare ourselves to at least the bulldogs.... richmond and melbourne are not exactly setting the world on fire.....

but comparing isnt going to get us anywhere....

Agree that comparisons will get us nowhere, but christ, the Bulldogs? The only team on a greater downward trajectory is the saints. Let's at least hope that, despite the appearances of a backward step due to a couple of close losses and not the greatest draw to start with, overall we are headed up and into the top 4. (Not in 2011 obviously)

I used the ladder prediction tool (thinking i was being pretty realistic :)) and it indicates that due to the number of sides who have had draws we really need to win 13 games this year to make the 8 :footy: which means we have to win 11 of the remaining 15 games :( so it is going to be a big ask from here, funny thing is our odds to make the 8 have shortened to $3.25  anyway here's hoping :thumbsu: Go Roos!
