Very disappointing news about the serious knee injury to the Doc. To be out for three or four weeks at this time of the year means his hopes of playing in 2005 are just about over.

Couple this with Watts falling over and Begley and Bode out for the season and our depth at the lower end is being tested.

We need to manage people like Goody well, or else we could be in trouble in the midfield.

I noticed Maric in the BP's again. I have not seen him play, but is he close to selection if one of the talls got injured.

Personally I think that spells the end of Begley. Injured again.

Maric could be a surprise inclusion late in the year if we lose a few talls to injury, especially now that Watts is injured.

That's a shame for both big guys. At least they should get a nice break now and be fit and fresh for the 2006 season. I'm hoping both will get plenty of gametime in '06.

Yeah, we wouldn't want a run on injuries, particularly to key personnel, as we lack decent depth coverage at the moment.

If one of our ruckmen were to be injured at the moment, I gather Maric would be ahead of Clarke.

Bad luck for Meese.........but even before his injury I was of the opinion that Ivan the Terrible was probably just in front of young Liam should Biglands continue to appear as disinterested as he did on Sunday......errr ...I mean get injured...... :o

As for Clarkey - I hate to say it but a looming finals campaign is not the place for a sentimental and gratuitous send off........if he's not in the side by R16...I reckon he's played his last game.

I disagree. If Biglands were to go down then I would bring Clarke back in. At least he has the experience and only offers marginally less around the ground than Biglands. It wouldn't be the right time of year to bring in a young and raw tall. Blight might've done it, but I just don't see NC doing it.
If Hudson were to go down then we're shot. :p

aaron keating anyone??

but john meeson still would have been eons away from playing an afl game. watching nearly all of norwoods games this yr, he has even struggled to show form that would consolidate a spot in the league.
