More to the point Muslims killing Muslims:(.

Iraq suffers its deadliest year since 2008

UN says 8,868 Iraqis killed in 2013, with one NGO predicting 2014 could be bloodier as militants exploit sectarian tensions.

Many of those killed were attending Mosques at the time.

Hmm... that situation may be a little more nuanced than 'Muslims are violent'.

Who knows, a non-Muslim country launching an unprovoked war against them, then leaving their country in disarray in the middle of a virtual civil war may even have something to do with it.

Calling muslims violent completely ignores the geopolitical realities of the region where most muslims live.

It was happening before the non Islamic country's intervention and in fact has increased since and will continue to do so ad infinitum.

And where is that region where MOST Muslims live?

Iraq has as many Christians as it does Muslims so I wouldn't go looking at only the numbers bare. Plus white men have been slaughtering their way to power since day dot.

If Muslims constitute 97% of the Iraqi population, how do you arrive at what you have stated about there being as many Christians as their is Muslims?
Would you care to try and make some sense of your second sentence or are you suggesting that only white men slaughter people to gain power?

In terms of population, it is you that is wrong.

There are more Muslims between Pakistan & Indonesia than there are in the rest of the world combined.

Pakistan and Indonesia isn't one continuous region. North AFrica to the ME to the caucus is.

Is it me that is right. On that very minor detail.

Europe as a region has had the most wars in history, and exported that violence to the rest of the world under the guise of Christianity. America continues to do this.

LOL.

That's ridiculous on so many levels I don't know where to start.

97???!! Are you the type that looks at stats given from America or the Internet? Go around and ask ONE Iraqi you know...you will get your answer but obviously Uncle Bush is so accurate and endearing to some folk!
As for second point..NO! Sorry I ain't wasting time on ignorance. Bu I can't and won't blame you cuz it ain't your fault, I'm guessing your trying to find out things you don't know about.

There's gigantic buddhist and Hindu populations that seperate Pakistan from Indonesia.

I think you can see what I meant now, even if initially you thought I was referring to one specific country or nation. I'm happy to say that was my fault for not being more specific in my initial post. We're clear now, no need to keep going around in circles as we'll just end up in a semantic battle.

There was a great article I read about Saudi the other day, about how the ME nearly went full secular/communist but was put down hard by the Americans and Brits. So even though a lot of hardline islam is prevalent today officially, under the surface in the ME you would find many private secular Arabs (and certainly a lot of the Persians I know are only skin deep muslims) simply because it is actually illegal in many of the ME nations to commit blasphemy (and being an atheist is considered blasphemy).

Definitely a much more complicated region than our media presents it as.

And there's also a lot of Muslims.

In fact India & Bangladesh have the 3rd & 4th highest Muslim populations (behind Pakistan & Indonesia).

China too has almost as many as Saudi Arabia!

No semantics involved. It's a fact.

Well yes that is a fact. But I wasn't referring to nations. That said, I agree that the way I worded it was not as clear as it should have been - and I've acknowledged that.
