I think the Adelaide Supporter Group are putting on 15 busses. That could be an option for some too.

i did the bus thing in 97, never again, im driving this year

Yep, AFL have already announced that after the game The Killers will perform a full set and then the winning team will come out to celebrate

Open to all too.

If I miss out on the P2 allocation, we'll still head over, watch the game at Fed Sq, then go to this if we win

Firefly will charter a shitload of busses too. Based on the prices for the Bulldogs Final a couple of years ago, Firefly is slightly cheaper than the CSG if you're not a CSG member.

we are doing the same thing

I tell you where it's great to watch the game... at the Cinemas. We've gone down a few years and watched it at Melbourne Central cinemas, then gone to the ground after. Comfy chairs, BIG screen, good sound, good atmosphere... can go to the bar at the breaks. Costs about $10.

does anyone know anything about the ballot? ie. do you get picked in groups or if you go in a group of 5 say, does maybe only 2 get a ticket. also is there more chance if you go down as a group of 2 than a group of 5? much appreciated

If you book all 5 together, they will be together. They won't sit two of you in Cat 1 and 3 in standing.

Reckon gold membership was introduced in 98, after members missed out in 97

Gold Membership was brought in in 1997 but they didn't have the priority to finals tickets attached. Many of us complained to the club as to why we were forking out the extra money for. In 1998 it was changed to capping the numbers at the GF allocation and giving Gold members the priority access.

i can remember ringing up on the Sunday after the prelim, waiting on the phone for a hour, and asking "are there any tickets left:"

I remember in 1997 my brother staying over in Melbourne after the prelim and sleeping in the line. Got our tickets no problem Monday Morning. 1998 must have been when Gold came in as he tried the sleeping in line again but this time back here in Adelaide. Tickets sold out while he was still in line.

Was he second in line?

Thanks Jenny. Might run that past the mates.

Just have to check with the Cinemas closer to the time... they do move it around sometimes. One year it was at Chadstone (I think that's what it's called), but we've seen it a few times at Melbourne Central. You could always plan to watch it at Fed Square, and if it's a crap day, move to the cinemas.

Does anyone know when the tickets get allocated? I'm in Priority 2, so presumably have a pretty low chance, but also have an AFL silver membership, which gives me a decent chance to purchase a ticket if we make it (especially if its not vs Richmond!). The AFL silver members tickets go on sale on the Monday morning (11am). Just curious if we would know the results of the Crows lottery by then. I'm guessing not.

If we win on the Friday night you'll know by Monday. Your bank account will get docked.

You basically need to have $410 in your account in case you get Category 1.
Just on this , only $5 per registration needs to be in the account tomorrow, is that correct?

I would not think allocation and deductions happen until after the Game finishes and the result goes our way.
