Dear Harry,
I think you're developing into a very important player at Geelong and your ability to hold down a key position in the backline this year might be the difference between us winning our 2nd flag in 3 years. I like the fact that you are a bit 'left of centre' with your cognac drinking - war trivia - and other unique interests ... afterall, Matthew Scarlet is not exactly normal and it has'nt stopped him becoming a star player.
What does worry me though is a glaring weakness in your game - that being your inability to keep your feet in a contest. On Friday night - not the first time it has happened - you were caught out of position far too often. Franklin or Roughead did not out muscle or out body you in any contest I can recall. More often than not you were falling to ground and effectively putting yourself out of too many contests.
You've thrown the weights around over summer and your game against Cloke in the Collingwood game showed us you have the ability to play on the key forwards -- but please Harry, work on holding your ground and at least providing a contest otherwise you'll get molested by the likes of Reiwoldt - Brown - and others. And the reality is that we need you to take some big names to free up Scarlett to play an attacking role from deep in defence without being dragged out closer to CHB as happened in the 08 GF and effectively starved us of his creative play deep inside defensive 50.
Enough of my rant - I'm off for a cognac and a good war movie.
