It would be fantastic if Stanley could improve and become a quality midfielder, it is possible!

he looks very similar to burnsy in the guts...got a fair bit of the ball around the ground and with a good preseason under his belt he should be given a run there next season

he definitely isnt a key defender

Probably BOG up to half time. He teamed really well with Bucks in the middle and they were probably the main reason for the first half massacre. Shifted to HFF and HBF after half time but the game was over by then. Really good game.

Stanley has improved a lot in the areas which people had great concerns about i.e. his kicking and his awareness. He has now become quite a neat kick and doesn't overdo it when running with the ball (used to have some Richard Cole like moments trying to take one too many players on).

Sorry thats it!
Clarke was good around the backline, he wasn't playing a Heath Shaw role, he was playing pretty deep in the backline, and was very calm. Geez this kid loves to run and recieve!
Latter stages of the game he was running through the middle like.... *insert something*!

He loves to run and run and run and the way he feeds off and continues running to recieve his own ball back only shows his deseperation and enjoyment out there. That goal in the 3rd or 4th on the run from outside 50 was Paul Williams style, absolutely spectacular kick on him! Needs a bit more time at Willy as other Pie players outshone him, but thats taking absolutely nothing away from him, very solid, nothing wrong.

Clarke played well especially his run to recieve 2nd 3rd efforts, IMO would be an ideal straight swap for Ben Johnson, and would play Johno's role effective maybe even more effective than Johno has been playing most of the season.

As far as the Pies players went:

Buckley > Reid > Licuria > Clarke > Iles > Dawes > Stanley > Cox > Davies > Brown > Toovey > Presti

Was that the ruckman? I liked his game. I’d rather develop him than Richards just based on that one game (possibly not a fair basis). Has anyone seen the two together for Willi this year?
