What I love about Jamo is he reads the play so well, his timing is good and I love his spoils! :thumbsu: On the up and up

His spoiling was very very good tonight. He really only got outmarked once IIRC, and this was in the last quarter when he gave away a 50m penalty.

Richo 5.2.3(on the full)
Llyord 4.2

Richo won game for tiges and llyord stood up in last qrt of ess...

Jamo was on both...

Is that clear enough for you...
You appear to understand the game as about as well as my 11 month old.

Do you think the midfield lack of defensive pressure contributed to ANY of those.

With a better defensive midfield, more pressure on kicks means easier for full backs..........lesson 2 is on the way.

BTW, one of those Richo goals was kicked on Thornton late in the third, and two of the other four came from charity.........but hey......nice numbers right?

I'm really excited about whats to come from Jammo!!!
Just think, in a coupla years when he's bulked up and actually has played more than a handful of games, he'll be holding fullback up so tight!!He stayed with Lloyd all night, awesome effort for such a youngen!

Just think also, Waite at CHB further developed, he's already creating play haulting big names.. He's only gonna get better!

And then there's the man who has been our only key position back for the past 5 years who is now freed of a KP and can help out all across the backline and create play... We've already seen how beneficial it is for Thornton to have Jammo and Waite back there..

Add in the Walker/Scotland/Houlihan/Gibbs/Hadley/Carrazzo/Judd/Stevo runners out of half back... Lookin pretty f*ckin good Shazza!! :thumbsu:

Is a real bright spot for us. He works so hard and defends extremely well. Going to take some beatings given the ease that the ball comes into opposition forward lines, but will hold down full back a long long time.

He has been fantastic so far, and he's well and truly shown that he's our long term solution down back.

Make no mistake about it, he beat Lloyd last night. It's a pity that most will make their decision and opinion based purely on statistics, which do show Lloyd kicking a few. However what those simplistic shmucks don't see are the times that Jamison puts in an effective spoil, which were plentiful last night.

Well done Jamo. Now all we need is to find some support for you.

Mal Michael must be a dud then compared to Jamo? What about Glass getting cleaned up by Brown/Pavlich? or everyone against Franklin?

His closing speed if phenominal. Rapidly becoming one of my favourite players. He is still struggling with the one on one situations though, Lloyd beat him a few times, but his strength will develop and when this aspect of his game comes to him i think he will be special and very hard to beat.

I thought his play last night was excellent.

Lloyds goals weren't Jamo's fault but further up the field or shitty umpiring decisions.

I was most impressed with how many times when contesting for a loose ball Jamo moved Lloyd off the ball and was able to take possession of it.

Few more years in the gym and he'll be able to body up with almost anyone in the league.

Compare when there are both at the peaks mate... cause i reckon you could beat up Ali now also...

You over-complicate it with your blame shifting. Maybe it is a lot simpler than you make it out to be. Maybe we should think of it from a less confusing and more basic point of view (i.e. like a child). If Jammo concedes 5 goals a game maybe he and not someone else needs to take more responsibility for conceding goals at a rate of almost 100 a season (9 in 2 games). Why cant posters just say it as it is? Why does it always have to be someone elses fault?
BF is littered with this kind of thing (some may call it excuses) e.g. Russell having a shocker turns into Wayne Hughes and the Developement Coaches criticism or that Dennis Pagan ruined him, it was always the gameplan not Josh Kennedy that was to blame, Walker cant kick because he is left handed etc... Maybe JR is simply kack and always will be, or JK didn't and wont fullfil the potential he never had and yes we are disappointed, or Walker just cant kick to save himself and thats the way it is, or yes Jammo did do ok but is conceding too many goals.

i like the looks of him , as someone said hes another piece to the puzzle. just need to find a couple more backmen that want to give their all each week.

not tryin to be negative, but houlihan and waite arent backmen, just let them run free in the forward line. be so much more dangerous

fev waite fisher betts houlihan edwards isnt that bad a forward line

Yeah........maybe........but then again maybe not.

Lets look at the problems of the world and see if we can sort them out as you have........the way a child would......

Global warming - maybe we should just stop using everything that creates greenhouse gas and just plant more trees.

The middle east fighting - maybe if they just stopped killing each other then they would get along.

Interest rates - maybe if the government printed 1 million dollar notes instead of 10 dollar notes then we could all be millionaires and not have to worry about mortgages and such things ever again..........

Maybe............but maybe not.;)

I was not a fan, and am so thoroughly converted it's ridiculous.

In great shape this year, more confident and comfortable than i've ever seen, looks to be in pretty fine form and is a good role model around the club.

Loving 40.

Rarely beaten and with Judd is our most important player. Played two great games since coming back from suspension. Keep it up Jamo!

@TG - agree, great to see him getting more involved in the attacks this year, makes his opponent need to be more accountable. This was his major weakness before this year

Fantastic player in excellent form at the moment.

Had his first injury-free preseason and it really shows. He's confident in his play and his body which is of huge benefit to us.

He's becoming more involved in our attacking thrusts out of the backline, but that may be more due to the new structure, more than anything else.

As TG said, he's criminally underrated by the AFL community. We'd be just about lost without him.
