When the players themselves seem to struggle to understand the gameplan, what hope have we poor mortal supporters/fans?

However, I guess the obvious thing from the start is Mick has tried to implement his (in)famous boundary hugging style gameplan.

Problem is, you need a very fit squad to be able to handle this. Big FAIL there for us already. Plus I suppose you need players with pretty decent defensive nous and let's face it, we have a lot of players who don't appear to be the most footy smart. And the ones who do appear to have the smarts, are not the dour defensive types anyway - they're typically our more attacking players who have some flair.

And then the thing I absolutely cannot fathom - playing half the midfield as taggers. In a nutshell IMO Mick's gameplan seems extremely negative in it's approach and lately we're seeing all the attacking flair completely taken away. For a while we would see the Ratten gameplan re-emerge for a quarter or two and we'd play quite a bit better but now, we just about never see it. We've got a negative, restricting type gameplan for a list that will probably never be able to properly play it.

We owe him absolutely nothing.
Shame on those who wanted #SackRatten are now prob the same calling for Malthouse head.
Prob the same idiots who sit at the game screaming abuse at their own players much to the bemusement of opposition fans.

Just get rid of him already. We are so much worse now than we were under Pagan and that was after we got the draft penalties.

One see pigeon. One see football kicked by tall forward.

Basically saying you have a list with no talent during a press conference really won't get players to play for you.
I think this is the most important point ive heard yet.

If the club plans on maintaining the bulk of this list then malthouse has to resign. Mutal agreement or whats it could these days. "Conscious Uncoupling".

If the coach doesnt believe in you then why should you believe in the coach.

If the board honestly thinks the majority of players just arent up to it (personally think that they are), then the coach gets signed again and players depart at end of year.
