So as it stands now, only eight clubs would have a pick in the mid-season draft if it were held tomorrow

Edit: fixed Hawthorn and North Melbourne
Can add Dogs to your list given the Picken news today :'(

Also wouldn't rule out Dale Morris having to be replaced depending on how his ACL heals up, although that's completely unknown at this time

Are over aged players from the NAB League, who were overlooked in last year's draft eligible to be selected?
Only if they declared for last years draft and were overlooked l.

That said, still not sure if they can be drafted.

My understanding is they also have to nominate for the mid season draft. So if someone doesn’t nominate themselves, they can’t be drafted anyway.

Kyle Dunkley has started the season off well for Gippsland. Clubs might be interested in drafting him at the MSD as a future prospect.

https://m.afl.com.au/news/2019-02-07/midseason-draft-when-is-it-and-how-will-it-work

Clubs will be able to draft any footballers who have already been on an AFL list, or who nominated for the 2018 NAB AFL Draft.

Any player delisted at the end of 2018 cannot be re-selected by the club that delisted them, unless they nominated for last year's NAB AFL Draft.

Swans in dire need of immediate midfield assistance

How have Grigg in the SANFL and Bolton in the WAFL been faring in the early games?

Bolton
Round 1 - 24K, 11H, 10M, 4T, 1 Goal. Best on ground performance
Round 2 - 27K, 10H, 5M, 5T, 1 Goal. Basically best on ground again

To be fair, Claremont have been demolishing teams the first couple of rounds, so this may or may not reflect what his season-long performances will look like. So far, he's looking incredible and easily on track to be drafted mid-year.

Grigg
Round 1 - 19K, 14H, 7M, 8T, 1HO, 2 Goals. Likely best on ground
Round 2 - 16K, 9H, 6M, 4T, 1 Behind. Decent game, nothing spectacular
Round 3 - 12K, 10H, 5M, 1T, 2 Behinds. Not a bad game, but nothing special

Not too bad of a start for Grigg. Needs to lift a bit but Bolton looks to be the better player to start the season so far. WAFL and SANFL are roughly equal in terms of competitiveness so it's not like one has an easier competition to shine in.

This is my sticking point.an AFL club can only select one of these players from there reserves team
What happens to teams from the NEAFL?
I'm not entirely familiar with the VFL reserves but it seems you guys have mature non listed VFL players playing on your reserves team
GC, GWS, Sydney, Brisbane don't have that. We play our listed and rookie listed players with 18 and 19 year old academy kids.

Can't make the rules just to suit half the competition.
