It was down to business for Collingwood’s coaches and players at Gosch’s Paddock on Wednesday 18 February.
The training session ran for just under two hours with Richmond coaches watching the session with interest.
The Magpies take on the Tigers at Telstra Dome on Thursday 26 February with the scheduled bounce for 7.10 pm.
Head coach Michael Malthouse ran the team through a series of warm-up drills before commencing stoppage work for the remainder of training.
Steele Sidebottom, who narrowly missed out in debuting for the Magpies last week against West Coast, was in scintillating form for the stoppage drill.
His work off the ball looked like he has already had a healthy AFL career, running into open spaces for his teammates.
Brad Dick trained strongly with the group and his run down of Martin Clarke (see pictures below) during training earned praise from the coaches.
Ruckman Lachlan Keeffe proved a strong contest for Cameron Wood. The rookie-listed Keeffe was able to deliver first usage to midfielder’s Danny Stanley and Martin Clarke.
With Nick Maxwell’s future in doubt for next week’s match against Richmond, the match committee will be forced to make at least one change to the team line-up.
Newly signed NSW scholarship holder Ben Camilleri trained in just his second outing with the club (click HERE to read the full story of Camilleri's arrival to Collingwood).

Cameron Wood and Lachlan Keeffe battle it in a ruck contest with head coach Michael Malthouse looking on.
Our biggest weakness is Stoppages and if Steele is killing it there then why is he not Playing?
Also what does it have to say if Keeffe was beating Wood in the Ruck?
