West Coast fans? Would I be correct in saying that Clark would not be seen as a replacement for Cox, but rather for Lynch?
Lycett forward (perhaps 2013) and Clark as second ruck.
If, indeed, we do pick him up.

I think freo will cave and give us 16 and a decent player.
I did hear they are looking at putting Darling in the midfield. It might work then. Clark, his EF mate Kennedy, and Lycett, Lecras and whoever. Nats in the ruck.

We can make good use of Clark.
I don't think Freo will give any more and good on them.
They've decided Clark's value and are not going to be pushed to offer more.
Clark could be a great pick up but he's no sure thing.
Nor is anyone we pick up in the draft. The whole thing is one big gamble.
But where does your need lie?
I don't think using pick 16 to trade for a ruck will satisfy your need as you have Sandilands, a vastly improved Clarke and Griffin.
If you are going to gamble, what sort of player will you gamble on?
Correct me if i'm wrong, but there's a good chance that Freo's compo pick could be as high as pick 19 in a future very good draft rather than the much discussed pick 16 in this pretty poor draft, right??
Doesn't sound much different to me....
Yeah they want Zac Clark. + the draft pick. But would probably accept Zac on his own. It's the player that's the killer at the moment, I believe.
We need hard runners. We are going to improve our midfield. And talls for the future.

So you'd consider Clark merely a handy player to have, like us.
I would imagine then you, like most clubs, would not give up pick 16 + fringe young player for Clark.
I'm neither here nor there but thinking about our future spine with Clark in it:
Mackenzie
Brown
Naitanui/Clark
Kennedy
Lycett
Looks pretty imposing.
Not necessary, but certainly worth giving a late first round pick in a compromised draft and a fringe young midfielder.
Happy if we get him, happy if we don't.
Likely you are in the same boat.
That's because he's awesome.
IMO, I wouldn't take this trade.

It would be strange that you would prioritise going after a tall forward (who's no guarantee in that position, or improvement on what you already have), given that a crumbing small and young midfielder should be on top of the shopping list.
Find me a direct quote from a lions official where it says we want Clarke and a first round pick.
Certainly should be our priority to get another cream midfielder. I don't think there will be any available at our first pick. We have enough midfield depth and can afford to give away a fringe young player.
It is something that we need to address though. I'm just not sure this year is our opportunity to do so.
Personally I dont believe that we are overly interested in Clark, we're just fooling the Dorkers into thinking we are.
