I did hear they are looking at putting Darling in the midfield. It might work then. Clark, his EF mate Kennedy, and Lycett, Lecras and whoever. Nats in the ruck.

But where does your need lie?
I don't think using pick 16 to trade for a ruck will satisfy your need as you have Sandilands, a vastly improved Clarke and Griffin.
If you are going to gamble, what sort of player will you gamble on?

Looks pretty imposing.
Not necessary, but certainly worth giving a late first round pick in a compromised draft and a fringe young midfielder.

Yes, you did your recruiting last year. We are not there yet. Clark would be handy but will not fix our underlying problems.
Your talls do look imposing, they did this year as well.

Does look good, but the underlying deficiency at west coast is midfield depth.

With Ebert leaving (I rate him higher than some on here) and the possibility of trading away a first round pick and a depth player (i.e. swift, stevens) how are you addressing this

It would be strange that you would prioritise going after a tall forward (who's no guarantee in that position, or improvement on what you already have), given that a crumbing small and young midfielder should be on top of the shopping list.

Certainly should be our priority to get another cream midfielder. I don't think there will be any available at our first pick. We have enough midfield depth and can afford to give away a fringe young player.
It is something that we need to address though. I'm just not sure this year is our opportunity to do so.

Honestly can't give that. But there are quotes that they want a top ten draft pick which we would have got if the super deal went through yesterday. Bond is working on something now. whether that is linked to that or something completely different we don't know. He clearly isn't going to be rushed.
