I reckon his 10 for in the same game as heap of more highly rated bowlers all went for 100+

Just for arguments sake, would you mind naming them.

Johnson is the only out and out bowler in the national squad, so who is Ripper46 referring to when he says these guys are more highly rated? Who's doing the rating?

The real deal?

12 matches into his ODI career and he's averaging a very respectable 23 with the ball, at a very lively pace too.

Together with the Hilf our up and coming pace bowling stocks are looking damn good. :thumbsu:

Impressed with him so far- I must say as a QLD supporter I thought he would be really exposed at this level. He is going allright so far - needs to maintain it.

He's played 12 games - the first 6 were poor, but the last 6 have been very good and I have more confidence in him every time I see him bowl.

Still got a lot of time 2 develop but have been impressed with him in the CBA Series so far and has alot of upside.

Quite a strange action.

Who cares?

A left-arm bowler who bowls 145km/h on a consistent basis and he reckons he can bowl faster - those are signs of a talent. If he continues to hit the deck hard and take wickets he will be a permanent fixture in the Australian team. No doubt in my mind.

If you think of it, he is probably the most improved player and he can improve even more, if he does he should be a very good bowler.

I think he's a very good prospect as well, as his confidence has increased, he's improved dramatically in the ODI Arena.

Just commenting on his action, not being critical. Also a very short run-up for such a quick bowler.

Thommo had a very short run up as well.

This boy is the real deal.
