MLB Season 2022

14 straight for the Braves, and the Mets lost again, so their lead is now down to 4. Phillies won as well, so it's tightening up in the NL East.

Bring on the Cubs.

These baseballs have certainly changed since the first month when hitting HRs was bloody tough. Ball is flying out these days (surely they've changed the humidifiers there all had to use in 2022)

35 home runs in this 14 game winning streak and outscored (albeit very ordinary) opposition 101-41

Duval is looking much better (at least starting to hit HRs), Ozuna back to hitting the long ball, Riley now equal leader in HR. Only Acuna who has gone a bit cold the last week or so but he'll get going again.

Yankees 30 games above 500 after todays win, quite happy about that

heard on the Yankee broadcast today that if the playoffs were today 4 of the 5 AL East teams would be in the playoffs

30 games above is crazy, been expecting a slight drop from them but just continue on their merry way

securing the division crown really early often works against teams i reckon

it does, you can relax going into September if you have the division sewn up and may take a little while before you get fully going, if you are fighting for the division late in September, the form can carry through the playoffs

Got to love it when they intentionally walk Judge to load the bases only for Rizzo to hit a GS
Yankees completely on another level right now.

Mets 25-15 against >500 teams
Braves 12-14

All of this without DeGrom and a lot of Max. Megill injured twice although not in the same league as the other 2.

The timing of the Braves run with the Mets having their hardest schedule couldn't have come at a better time for the division which was looking dead. What's going to decide this is all the divisional games, we only have a few left against the Phillies but 15 against the Braves.

Tough Cali trip upcoming for Atlanta and Mets have Marlins and Astros.

The A's now the worst team in baseball - even the Royals are feasting on us.
But there may be hope when the night is darkest, if the following article is correct. Seems the other owners are getting tired of the A's John J Fisher and his penny-pinching ways.

I dont see the mets being overrun unless they completely s**t the bed. Seems a different team under Showalter

As good as the braves have been lately it was against poor teams. I think we are playing much better than we were earlier in the year and will still be right up there and hopefully nab a wild card spot but the mets look too good and their September schedule is basically what the braves have had the last 3 weeks which should make their life easier down the stetch.

This is something out of major league. They can’t even draw dick

Trout couldn’t hit a basketball a week ago. Now he’s belting it

baseball is a funny game like that, 1 week you couldn't hit water if you feel out off a boat, the next week you're hitting .370 with 6 hr's
