Don't forget Collingwood did it for a year, before tanking was the word they used for it. Snared Thomas and Pendlebury out of it.

Hopefully we build a dynasty and more is said about our ability
to raise coin - 5 mill - and get ourselves off the deck and not rely
on the AFL to keep us afloat, like a few other clubs in our position.

Instead of letting the AFL bail us out, we chose to do something about it.

There is no evidence of Melbourne tanking last yr, we smashed Port
when we werent supposed to, we were no good and inconsistant,
comes with playing young kids and trying potential delistings.

All good points being made in here. At the end of the day I don't care what is said because the Dees are winning again! But what pisses me off about it all is the opposition supporters were happy to bag the Dees when they were losing, but now if they win all this tanking shit gets mentioned. Either way you cannot win, even if Melbourne does.

Whilst I admit we played a pretty dodgy game against the Tiges last year there has been a propensity for misrepresentation and a gross misunderstanding by so-called "experts" of the rebuiliding process MFC has put in place since the end of '07.

Idiots tend to forget that after being the best Vic team in '06 we bottomed out losing our first 9 games under Daniher (not Bailey) the following year.
