Mooney out for 2?

I don't give us much hope if any for this week, so the matchups I'd like to see:
Gehrig/Egan - He was full back in the VFL last year, this would be his toughest assignment yet, only worry is if we get the expected flogging he could have 10 kicked on him but anyone could get 10 kicked on them this week.
Riewoldt/Scarlett - He's their best forward, he's our best back.
Kozi/Spencer - Frank's been playing CHB in the VFL, huge ask first up but we have to get some AFL footy into him to really see where he's at.
Hamill/Enright - The one we'd have to try and exploit going the other way.
Maguire/Milburn - Need some accountability on Maguire, with Milburn having the ability to play two ways.
Rahilly/Milne
Ablett & Chapman to spend 80% of time in forward line. Gary will likely have Baker on his clacker all day again, rather see him have 10 touches for 4 goals than 20 kicks into a non existant forward line.
Bartel in the guts until he 'rotates' himself.
Head to head midfield.
I suppose we could go for an ultra conservative approach and try not to get belted by 10 goals+, but with the form of the two teams going opposite ways I don't know if there's anything we could do that would stop that anyway. :(
My team for this week assuming Mooney out.
B Hunt Egan Rahilly
HB Scarlett Spencer Enright
C Tenace Corey Kelly
HF Chapman Milburn SJohnson
F Kingsley Ottens Ablett
R Blake Ling Bartel
Int Playfair Riccardi Rooke Haynes

Well, if they're our matchups we're stuffed.
In fact, I just think we're stuffed for this match.
If we lose to the saints we can still finish top4 but need other teams to lose to make it happen.
Looks like we're going to finish 5th or 6th and have a hell of a fight on our hands.
I still think that even if (when :( ) we do lose to the saints, winning the last few games (esp beating WC) would give us some much needed confidence, and remember that the loser of 1vs4 plays the winner of 5vs8, and considering 4th plays WC first up, 4th & 5th have pretty much the same run through the finals (just the double chance though...hmmm)

It's not over yet Cats, not at all....just slipping away.

4th gets the home semi final (if they lose in the wk 1)

Match ups this week could well be:

Rooke/Riewoldt: Not too many can run with him. Definitely not Egan as he doesn't have the pace or aerobic capacity.

Scarlett/Gehrig: The only player who has the strength and smarts to compete with him

Egan/Hamill: A good match up. 2 courageous players who have a real dip.

Spencer/Kozzi: I think you'll be surprised with Spencer. If Ackland doesn't play Kozzi may spend more time in the ruck - sharing with Blake

The only other possibility is Rooke gets Milne and Milburn takes Riewoldt or Sando to come in and take Hamill leaving Egan to take 6th player. However 6th player may well be Montagna who commands a quickish type.

Actually, this raises an interesting question.
If we could have any player, just one, from any team, who would you choose? Think about who would improve the team the most, not neccecarily the best player in the AFL.
(I think this deserves a new thread, but i can't be arsed)

Chad Cornes and put him at CHB

Yeah, I was kind of assuming it would be against StKilda, and therefore inconsequential. But the Saints could almost have a shot at 3rd now...

It's not over YET
