i rekon if his knees are good hell be bak better than ever.
The anger and aggression hell proide on the field as well as the commitment weve seen through this process will creat a force to be reckoned with.

I rekkon your right. If hes nees are ok, theirs gonna be trubble for other teams.

Mora in full training this morning and looking really good. Unimpeded in agility drills and looking sharp.
May miss out on the Eagles practise match now as we are really fine tuning our squad.

Looks like his first game may be for Peel in round 1 of the WAFL.

I remember Ross saying you don't run Group 1 horses at country meetings in relation to Fyfe.
I guess Mora has been out too long to apply this to him but I can't help but think he should get a run in big time as a sub rather than play on suburban grounds again. I guess he has to get his touch and if he's going to go down he will go down wherever he plays. I don't know, just want them to do something different this time.

I understand what you are saying, but you don't want any pressure on him the first 3-4 games until he finds his touch. I hoping for at least 1 nab cup game (maybe as sub), then 3-4 WAFL games and if his form warrants it then he would be considered to play AFL.

I would rather him play 10 or even 15 WAFL games and be in top form when he returns to AFL, rather than play a couple and disappoint when he returns to AFL.

Morra will only get a game under RTB when he earns it and not before .
The Club has said he will play in a NAB or practice game before the season proper begins .
Based on his performace in that game we will know very quickly where he is at and how much more work he needs to do .
My feeling is that once he has a few good touches at either level RTB will play him as a sub earlier in the season not later

I like this new rock solid impression I'm getting of RTB where what he says absolutely goes every single time... except for those times when it doesn't.

I disagree. I think the club will be less circumspect with its approach to his comeback now that he has had a decent build up in terms of running through the pre-season. With the limited amount of time they'll have to play with this year before it comes time to reassess his contractual situation, I expect the club to take a do to die approach unfortunately for Mora.

Yep. At some stage, and not too far into the future, the cotton wool and kid gloves will come off and he either makes it or he doesn't.

Are you guys really suggesting Mora's first game will be an AFL main season game?

I'm with you on this one and the fact that the Club has stated that he will het a preseason game before they select the 22 for the Collingwood game .

Again I don't think RTB and the coaches are going to select him for that game .WAFL form will be the first box to be ticked .

Management will want his first AFL game at Subiaco .

My guess is the game will be more than likely round 6 vs North Melbourne The ANZAC Game ,Friday night .

The Marketing people will have a field day .
Emotions will be going crazy at the prospect .

I'm certainly not. He will most definitely play play WAFL before the big time, and only then will his form demand selection. He is definitely no walk up start to the AFL. That is just crazy talk.

If we took our assessment of our players on one NAB cup match then half the team (or 75%) would be worried after the last effort.
Ross knows where he's at.

Can he get physically fitter?
Is he able to get get much better skill wise at Peel?
Will his knee get any "better" (for want of a "better" word)?

I don't know the answers and I would suggest only the medical and fitness staff and coaches do..but...

If the answer to all 3 questions isn't a definitive yes than he should be run out full whack at the earliest opportunity.

I still reckon round 6 earliest but I hope I'm wrong and end up with a big smile on my face.

NO F**KING WAY .
I've JUST had dinner and now I feel very SICK
Thanks mate
Whitey we don't agree on many subjects but on the one as well as Mora's prospects .;)

That's a hypothetical coulda, and I don't deal in them ;)

Can't see it happening, like many others, until rd 5 or 6 if he hits form.

Nothing at all wrong with Rnd 18 after dominating in the WAFL for 3 months.Really and truly not bothered when his AFL return occurs even if it's next season.
The more important thing is that after he returns he has a long and hopefully decorated career.
