Hawks will take Morrell and Rawlings.

What do you want in return?

How about Ben Dixon and a late draft pick?
How about Brett Johnson?
How about our 2nd and 3rd round draft picks?

What do you think?

Shwab,
I do not think that the club intends to trade Brady. He was first round pick and had developed nicely into a HB flanker and tagger who gets a lot of possessions and can take good overhead mark. His kicking can be a little bit erratic but otherwise we could not be happier with him. So if you want him a quality player who can slot into the senior team straight away is required.

Digby did not enjoy his best year and you would think that Johnson could be sufficient compensation.

Jade Rawlings for Brady Rawlings and pick 25.

Then again, I'm curious as to what role Hawthorn would have for Brady, when Michael Osborne is coming along nicely as a tagger, and Joel Smith can do jobs on runners in the back half, and rebound with more efficient disposal than Brady.

Loats and lonie

What?! I hope you were kidding. Loats is a dud who has already spent 5 years on Hawthorn list and still only a VFL player. And Lonie obviously has some potential but not as established as Rawlings. NO WAY.

If Dixon came to north he couldn't keep that ****y haircut and would not be allowed in the solarium

how aboutz that little blonde tacker that happened to win some crappy award along the lines of Rising Star? I reckoned he'd be a fair swap since your offering that crap above :D

He's only 21 or 22 and has done some good things at afl level this season. I dont think u would get much from the hawks for morrell seeing as they have a few big men anyway

I'd swap Morrell for Dixon but I wouldn't get rid of Brady Rawlings. He's our best run with player and also is good down back when Makepeace is getting hammered..

seriously doubt that hawthorn would take the morrell for dixon trade. i would rather persist with jones, d.motlop, watson and co in the forward line rather then chasing someone like dixon - who would want a big fat contract and would only play a good game every now and again so that he doesnt get dropped.

on nathan lonie, he could be a handy pickup as we seriously lack midifielders with good foot skills. my only criticism of him is he is a bit soft, but im sure jyd could iron that out of him!! but once again, we should only get him if he comes at the right price...

Why would we get rid of Rawlings after his best year?? All that work put into him for nothing?
i see where you are coming from, but if we trade him then it not "for nothing" as we will get something in return. many people believe that rawlings doesnt have a lot of improvement left in him therefore we should sell him now that he is at his peak.

i personally wouldnt want to trade him, but if a club offers us something pretty good for him, you gotta at least consider it.

wouldnt have to, he might lose the roo punter game and have to shave it off.

gotta keep brady rawlings,

Can someone honestly give me a decent argument that can convince me that Morrell has to go or should be traded?
I can remember a few season ago that Brady should be traded as well and now everyone loves him?
Surely Morrell has had a very average season but a KPP who has great hands and a good kick is hard to come by?

If we can get something decent in return, fair enough. Otherwise he should get another year. Needs to work hard over the summer, but still could be a valuable player for us.
