Read this theory that Tyrell is Elliot. If this is the case i will be so dissapointed as there are way to many factors to explain with all the interactions both characters have.

Yeah I've seen that too, Gideon pretty much rules that out though IMO as he definitely identifies them as two different people, Tyrell's assistant doesn't recognize Elliot either in the final. At least with Mr Robot it was always teased that he was possibly just a figment of Elliot's imagination, but with Tyrell we know he has a life.

Just finished watched E09.

Haven't read the thread, but will come back through it after I complete the season so, apologies if this has already been raised.

In episode 1, I was feeling like this was a Dexter remake but shifted into hacking.
Through episode 2, I started to feel a real fight club influence.
By episode 3, I was convinced that Christian Slater was playing an imaginary character much like Brad Pitt in Fight Club.

At the end of episode 9, when it's confirmed that Christian Slater is playing his imaginary-dead-father aka Ghost Dad from Dexter, the soundtrack actually finished with an instrumental of Where is my mind - Pixies, which is the song that closes out Fight Club.

I was astounded by that.

I'm not sure how I feel about the series yet, I guess I'll come back to it once I've finished the season.

Just plowed through this on the weekend. Got through it and thought it was ok but not "blowing chunks best show of the year" levels.

My theory is that it's all in his head. This was evident to me at the end of the first episode when the news reports for the story about E-Corps CTO Colby being arrested, referred to the company as Evil Corp. No news channel would ever do that, use a derogatory term as a play on a company's actual name. So I reckon the entire story is all in Elliot's mind.
It's just Fight Club for the small screen.

Clearly a fair few people disagree with you. It was easily the best thing served up on TV last year.

You watched every show on TV last year to arrive at that conclusion?

Must have been an ordinary year for television if that was "the best".

Better Call Saul, Narcos, and Making a Murderer are 3 new shows off the top of my head from last year that I enjoyed more than Mr Robot.

Reckon Narcos is highly overrated. Mr Robot was far better.

Subjective I know, but off the top of my head -

Fargo, Daredevil, Better Call Saul, The Leftovers and Game of Thrones were all better.

There were probably at least 5 other series I enjoyed at least just as much and I of course can't comment on things I didn't watch unlike yourself who apparently has watched everything that aired considering your claim that Mr Robot is "easily the best thing served up on TV last year".

I think it was more best new show so that excludes the likes of Game of Thrones, The Leftovers, Fargo from discussion.

Would certainly have it up there for the best new series of 2015 myself but each is their own.

The only show I watch out of those is Better Call Saul, and that definitely wasn't on Mr Robot's level. Everyone has different tastes, but there is a reason it was nominated for a few awards last year.

Making a Murderer is a doco, can hardly classify that in the same genre. I loved MaM, but it's a completely different format.

Better call is better than Mr Robot but benefitted from established characters prior. Like you said though, everyone has different tastes

Just watched the whole show in a week. Very entertaining, if a little obvious with the Fight Club tie ins. So who is knocking at the that door????

Season 2 has been bumped up to 12 episodes, with a double episode premiere. There will also be a behind the scenes look at the show after the double episode.

Also, there was a special that aired earlier this week looking at the impact the show has made on society With interviews with the cast and crew.

When does it start?

I am temped to hold out so i can watch them all at once. I got into Mr Robot early in the year and binge watched season 1 over a few days was hooked straight away.
