I'd suggest if you offered to swap him for rankine, they would bite your arm off. Rankine really looks a special player and luko not so much at this stage

Out of the two, I always wanted Rankine more - didn't see the appeal of Luko in the slightest. Will always just be a tidy player, nothing more.
Please tell me the highlights of Cook’s game.
Imho Bond and Nankervis are a real chance for round one, plus Taylor and Dowling are a sneaky chance. I would be very surprised if Schoenberg, Berry, Cook, Ryan and Edwards feature in the trial against Brisbane.

Not talking about who will be in the 23, but who is useful depth... which btw is based on more than 1 game. This season we have reasonable depth unlike past seasons.
Perhaps get back to me with all those quotes from posters claiming ROB is THE worst ruckman in the AFL...
I need to watch the replay again. I thought Cook did virtually zero playing in the Twos. Not even an occasional sale of confectionery.
Regarding ROB, his match sim this year has been very poor according to the Bigman. I thought he had the best of Sweet which surprised me. How did you see his game?

I appreciate the Milera comments, but to me he seemed to be playing very safe and careful. Obvious with his movement around the ball and entering of some contests. Will take same time to build confidence.

Once again my comments about depth are NOT based on 1 game. Since when is it good to judge players on only 1 game?
ROB had the better of Sweet. Where did Bigman or anyone else for that matter claim that ROB is THE worst ruckman in the AFL as per your post? Would be good if you can back up these claims... as imo they are outlandish.
Best moment at the beginning of the game was Port running out to their SANFL club song. It lasted a few bars till the mistake was realised and then stopped playing.

Imo today was confirmation of what many of us are thinking that Milera needs to spend a good month in the sanfl to get his mojo back.
Given our depth with players like Nankervis, there is no need to play Milera before he is ready after another long lay off.
I'm not even convinced he is best 23 any more.

Only station I could find on my drive was AA and Timmy was shocked at how we ran the ball out too easily when Port had Butters, Rozee and The Brownlow in there
He did indeed mention the struggling backline but again tempered it with '' you still need to be close to your opponent ''

I can understand if we wanted to do it prior to the SSP cutoff date of Feb 21st. But why we would force Strachan to retire now? The midseason draft is one of the last days of May. We have 11 games of AFL football and 7 games of SANFL for a player to pick up a LTI and open up a roster spot.

Why wouldn’t we have pushed him to do that prior to the SSP closing? Seems like a distinct lack of planning. I wonder what ever happened to posters that said you can’t force players out because it would cripple player morale.

Injuries have cruelled him and even if his preparation isn’t 100%, he’s never not put in come game day.

I wouldn't rule it out, it's late and implies a level of incompetence, so it's up our alley. And BACCS isn't the type to pist blatant untruth and his source has been good before. But yeh, it is a bit strange, lots of water to go under the bridge by then we could have multiple season ending injuries that can go on the inactive list.
