I know I'll get howled down but he just looks like Tex did when he was carrying around too much weight. Fogs strengths are explosive speed and power, he would be a much better player if he dropped 5kg.

First time in a while that we are in a position where people mightn't get a go in the midfield due to the fact that we run deep and the player isn't good enough to play there, instead of us being steadfast that we have three in the guts, that's it, don't care if they are injured or not.
I also think that the longer this season goes on, people will laud Reid for the Peatling deal, future second for him and a future third and fourth back.
He did last pre season too, which is weird.
Still covered the ground ok first up but he could stand to lose a couple.

Meh, he passed of a couple of goals he could have easily kicked. We had a lot of options in our forward line yesterday, he was OK without being outstanding but you could say that about other forwards who kicked a couple yesterday

For me, he stepped up last year. I'm not desperate to see him dominate practice games.
Think this is what’ll end up happening with the wings, with Dawson/Soligo resting there at times + Curtin rotating through

The 22-year-old midfielder’s workrate was exceptional, particularly in the second term, when he booted two goals, almost kicked another and helped Adelaide push to a 35-point lead after two periods.

Oh good, we've waited a whole one pre-season game for the inane Fog bullshit to start.
This. It's actually a great position to be in. If we've got TT and Tex absorbing the best defenders then it means Fog, Curtin, everyone else gets more of it one week. But if Tex and TT are having a blinder then there's no reason to interfere. If two of those guys kick 3 goals then you're most of the way to a winning score every week.

Yeah the selectors aren't making this change, but Bond should be a regularly used when we need to lockdown a small forward.

If MM doesn't play, then both Laird and Bond play. Bond did an excellent job on Higgins last time, and Laird looked pretty good at HB yesterday, read the play well and showed that he isn't required in the midfield anymore.
Even the vic fox footy commentators might admit that was the steal of the trade period
If so then Reid resume is starting to look v good , no wonder he is getting interest elsewhere
Finally got to finish watching the practice match. The first three terms were pretty interesting, while the last three terms were pretty boring.
Soligo was the clear BOG, he's in ripping form at the moment! As much as Port seemed a step off, their midfield still has quality and he made them look second-rate at times.
As you would expect, our tall forward line vs Port's smallish defenders meant that we often monstered them in the air, and equally, they often were able to run away from us with ease. It will be important for us to at least match opponents in the midfield if we want to run with four talls in the forward line. Fortunately, our midfield is finally looking good enough to do that.
In the B's there wasn't all that much to see. Taylor and Schoenberg were both good, as was Smith. T Murray looked dangerous. Not a whole lot to write home about other than that.
Also, I don't want to take too much from a practice match, but Port look like sliding backwards a fair way to me.
