And don't bang on about clubs not trading picks this year because of the Gold Coast, clubs new about the GC 12 months ago and were willing to trade picks so what's changed? All the talk of not trading picks has come from clubs like Richmond and Melbourne who are desperate to recruit a big name this year and want to get a bargain.
Finally now people are starting to see just how big of a hole Cameron Schwab dumped us in...

If Mundy + Warnock were 26 I'd agree with you.
They traded pick 19 for McMahon last year and he's not as good as either of the above mentioned players (and older).
It's simple, if Richmond won't deal pick 8 for the pair we'll trade them seperately to someone else. They'll get 300 games from Mundy/Warnock injuries permitting. What are the chances of getting a 300 gamer at pick 8?

It's much easier justifying trading for victorians than WAins I believe.
Doubt Wallace would be prepared to do it with the axe right above his head. And if he's seen to be compromising their future with trading, he's gone.

pick 26 for mundy a 190cm flanker just because he said he wants to go to richmond.
comon guys be realistic. there is a really good chance that you could lose bothe these blokes in the psd.
personally i hope richmond doesnt go after any of them. i would much rather vickery with pick 8 & lisle,blease,robinson,roughead,mckernan.

The thing that may help you trading with Richmond is that Wallace is under serious pressure and will almost certainly get sacked if Richmond don't make the finals next year. So he probably would be prepared to pay a bit over the odds to get ready made players rather than stick with picks that may take 3 years to develop.
It's the only way to get more than you deserve at the trade table - deal with a club with an insecure and under pressure coach. The coach may well behave selfishly and sell the farm to try and save himself. Other clubs used that principle against you for a long time with Connolly. maybe you can be in the other side of the fence this time.
