I dunno whether this will work or not...but if everyone could post a list of the Music DVDs they own.

Then, if you see a particular title in someone else's list that you are thinking about buying, you could ask them their opinion of it.

Iron Maiden - Rock In Rio

Got a question for you about the sound quality of this concert. Do you find that on some camera shots, the volume is softer, so that when it cuts from shot to shot the sound level is all over the place? Would the fact I have my DVD player hooked up through an older stereo amp with only 2 speakers (the old traditional set-up) or does it sound better on a surround sound system and those variations in the sound levels aren't noticable because it's channelled through 5 speakers?

As for my collection:

Blondie - Greatest Video Hits
Crowded House - Dreaming: The Videos
Def Leppard - Historia/In The Round, In Your Face

Apparantly, the DVD is mainly a Spinal Tap concert with a few skits in there. One funny thing I've read is that on 'Stonehenge', the prop is too big to fit onto the stage!

Is this censored much? I'm pretty sure it's rated M, even though Iggy whips out his old fella in the middle of the concert.

Yeah, it is rated MA despite Iggy showing "Little Iggy" for a least 3 songs(the old Stooges ones from memory). I saw it for the first time the day after Xmas (I got it for Xmas) and was back home in Adelaide for Xmas staying with my mum. She was a little shocked!
Good DVD to get if your are a fan (and I know you are). Also not a huge amount of stuff from the late 80's and early 90's, which IIRC from another thread you are not a big fan of.

Raw Power/ 5 foot 1/ Dirt / Loose/ Lust for life/ China Girl / I got a right/ Butt town / Real wild child / My baby want to R&R / Neon Forest/ Home / Brick by brick / 1969 / Candy / I wanna be your dog / Search and destroy / Down on the street / The Passenger / Louie Louie / Foxy Lady.

I can't say I've heard any variations in the volume, so I assume that it is because you've got it hooked up through an older system. Are you adjusting the settings so it's just on stereo sound, and not dolby or DTS 5.1?

Also, I've noticed that a couple of people have the Foo Fighters DVD. Is it any good? I've read a few dodgey reviews of it on the net, and was wondering whether it's actually worth getting.

Cheers.

I recently bought Riding In Vans With Boys, which features Blink 182, Green Day and Jimmy Eat World. Really funny stuff

Can't be bothered listing all of them, but just bought "Steve Vai - Live At The Astoria London", and it's bloody mintox.

Nope, the only audio options are for dolby or DTS. Looks like I'm stuck with it until I decide to get surround sound. Ah well, it's still a good concert.

I notice The Hippie had it listed so i'll recommend Rush - Live in Rio which is probably my fave dvd of 2003. Darky had Judas Priest - Electric Eye in his bunch - another one I am currently thoroughly enjoying. Judas Priest = Metal Gods!

Slayer - War at the Warfield
Guns 'n Roses - Welcome to the videos
Rage Against the Machine - Live at the Grand Olympic Audotorium
AC/DC - Live at Donnington
Jimi Hendrix - Blue wild angel live at the Isle of Wight
Jimi Hendrix - Rockumentary
Iron Maiden - Raising Hell
The Music - Live at The Blank Canvas
The Rolling Stones - Gimme shelter
Bob Dylan - Heartbreakers live in Australia
Ozzy Osborne - Live & loud
Ozzy Osborne - Don't blame me

From others lists

Leaping Lindner:
How is that DKs one & where do you get it?
Likewise for Iggy Pop live?

Darky:
what is the best Deep Purple? (prefer 1970s concert)
