Just wondering what music magazines everyone is into on BF.
I buy Rock Sound religiously for their extensive list of reviewed albums and the exposure section, I find it a great way to see what's out & about. I also pick up Metal Hammer from time to time, when I want to cut out all the punk & emo sh1t.

What does everyone else read and why?

Smash Hits ;)

With the net I don't feel the need to buy magazines, I can find out wider and more varied opinions on the latest releases, whereas a mag limits you to just one point of view.

The only music mag I guess I read is the eg section in the Age.

Used to buy source when I was a G*, but hardly buy magazines anymore. Might start getting Rolling Stone or another Rock/Metal mag.

Oh sometimes i pick up that free one about gigs from JB, cant remember what its called

I occsionally pick up classic rock or something if i'm going on a plane. Stopped buying them a few back when i realised i could get guitar pro tabs off the internet. Mind you, i've stopped playing the guitar lately so they are even of less use now. :p

i used to get recovery, then esky, then blunt but stopped at least 2-3 years ago, probly longer than that. Recovery was quol back in the day

Modern Drummer, Drum Scene and Rhythm Magazine are regulars.

Apart from that, the only time i'll buy a general music mag is if i have to fly or have a long public transport trip somewhere. It'll usually be Q or Rolling Stone, but i'm just not into enough of today's bands to really find too much of interest in them so i usually give them a miss.

I Buy 'Classic Rock' 2 times every three months or so..... Good mag, good articles on older bands and what they're up to today... Good articles, its from the UK, so they still get a fair amount of the older 70/80 rock bands still touring...

Used to buy Rolling Stone monthly through the 90's when it used to count...loved the articles that were investigative, then they started disappearing and I havent been back since. Gave most of the 90's copies away for free and kept the covers I liked.

Sad how an icon becomes irrelevant with time??? Agree/disagree?

Gaso

I used to buy Record Collector all the time.

It's the best and highest quality music magazine produced bar none.

These days i only buy it if theres a list of an artist i need.

Has very good resale value too.

I used to buy Q, Rolling Stone and Mojo regularly, though I can no longer afford to do so. I miss Mojo the most, I think that was the most interesting read, lots of in depth articles on subjects that I wasn't terribly familiar with, and always a great read.

Now, I mostly read online, thought there's nothing that I terribly like.
