Club Legend
I like to qualify my credentials first. Whilst not having seen any of these live I have watched most of the players on video plus read most of the other mocks on here. I tend to think a lot of people just follow the norm I like to base mine on my own thoughts.
Here we go. Make of it what you will.
Pick 1 – Melbourne
Tom Scully – No need for an explanation he will go here and everyone lnows it.
Pick 2 – Melbourne
Jack Trengove – As above the first 2 picks are known.
Pick 3 – Richmond
Dustin Martin – As with the first 2 pick it it pretty common knowledge he will go here.
Pick 4 – Fremantle
Ben Cunnington – This is where I beg to differ from most people. I think Cunnington is the next best players in the draft. I know most people think Morabito will go here but I beg to differ. After taking Hill last year Ben will complement him nicely. Harvey will love this type of player.
Pick 5 – North Melbourne
John Butcher – I think North really will take the best KPP. Butcher is too good to pass up. They may be able to get a good on baller with their next pick so they will take the best KPP here.
Pick 6 – Sydney
Gary Rohan – With the flair of O’Loughlin gone the next best player available is Rohan. Sydney will be rapt he is still here and he will fit in with their need for forwards well.
Pick 7 – West Coast
Anthony Morabito – West Coast will nab the local boy here if he is still available. He will complement their midfield well and give them something different.
Pick 8 – Port Adelaide
Aaron Black - Will be annoyed Butcher is gone and I thin kthey will split the difference with these 2 picks and get a KPP and an onballer. Black is simply the next best KPP available.
Pick 9 Port Adelaide
Kane Lucas – The next best on baller, a good height and a good mark for an on baller.
Pick 10 – Essendon
Jake Melksham - Interesting pick here, I don’t think they will go KPP here, He is the next best. Ideal pick up for the Bombers.
Pick 11 – Melbourne
Daniel Talia – After getting the 2 best on ballers they will take the best key defender, a nice 3 picks here for Melbourne.
Pick 12 – Carlton
Jake Carlisle – Is it a no brainer the they will take a KPP here after recent departures. Jake is the next best and will be a good pick up for the Blues.
Pick 13 – Adelaide
Lewis Jetta - I think it a simple best available here for the Crows. I think they will take Jetta. He is the sort of player they haven’t got, a speed demon who can break lines and kick a goal. Will fit in well there.
Pick 14 – Sydney
Brad Sheppard – Sydney love the running defender and even though Kennelly is back Brad is a great kick and a good running defender.
Pick 15 – Western Bulldogs
Koby Stevens – A hard at it midfielder who will suit the Dogs after going tall in the last couple of drafts. Will ease the load on the likes of Cross and Boyd.
Pick 16 – Port Adelaide
Ryan Bastinac – A simple next best could be as good as any of the to p10 but somehow gets pushed down the order a bit, inside player with good skills.
Pick 17 – Geelong
Luke Tapscott – A Paul Chapman like and hard at it. A great kick, Cats could go tall here with Panos but Tapscott is to good to pass up.
