Slowly slowly, everything is falling in to place. Hawthorn beat west coast? Tick
Hawthorn finished the game physically tired and hurt? Tick
Collingwood gained back some spark into the team just before finals? Tick

These are the games that are a must win but you know what collingwood is like.. We dontthrash sides but with our midfield and jolly in the ruck.. We have to punish undermanned sides and this is a perfect time to cement us in the top 4.

The football Gods (me) are with us so let's do this tomorrow Saturday night at the 'G

Our finals start here!

Go piessssssss.

P.s this is my first thread in years so I hope it was ok.

Give Hawks the ball gl getting it back!

Using one of my favourite Arrested Development quotes as a reference:
"How do we stop the teases? WE DON'T LET THEM IN! So strap yourselves in... Cos you're living in F#@$ city!"

"How do we stop Hawthorn getting the ball? We don't give it to them! So strap yourselves in... Cos you're living in Pie city!"

one of my favourite quotes from arrested development is when buster sees the hand arm chair at his mexican cleaners house and says 'wow, i had a chair just like this... never thought i would miss a hand this much.

if collingwood cement top 4 tomorrow night anything can happen from there. a cheeky win over hawthorn in the first week of finals would really tee us up for a real crack at it. got high hopes for kraks. havent had a rover in the forward 50 all year

Carn Magpies! Let's thrash em and stay safe! we don't need no injuries! Krak i hope you kick like 3-4 goals.. that would make my night.

Tonight is September come early...literally.

I thought Hawthorn looked out on their feet a little in that last quarter, West Coast got a lot of free players and kicked it long into their forward line. After quarter time WC bottled the game up and Hawthorn couldn't get any space. That's the way we have to play them.

Hawthorn lost it's drive to spread from scrimmages and stoppages. I'd say that they took the foot off and they were also one down after Guerra went off. Don't read too much into it as it was never in doubt, regardless of Brucey and Dennis barring up when the Eagles got within 22 points.

I thought the hawks were certs for the flag but after last night I'm not so sure. The only real difference was the first quarter.

My confidence has risen too. Anybody writing us off already are going to have egg on their face. We CAN beat Hawthorn next week. Krak will be a huge boost for the team, and Tarrant's retirement will be a good motivator.

When we are at our best we are simply unstoppable. Watch our intensity and desperation go up tenfold next week. Keep the faith everybody! We need to flock the MCG and support the team so much that all of our voices are gone by the end. We have to get the Collingwood chant going and scare those piss and poos out of the 'G!

Side by Side in September! This flag is going to be ours! GO PIES!

only one thing will get me thinking positive for next week.........

keeping what is the worst team in the league right now to under 5 goals. essendon are a shambles right now. they are beyond worse. if we let them kick more than 8 goals, then likewise we are gone. shutdown is the aim tonight.

One thing is for sure... if we beat the Bombers and face the Hawks, we can't afford to go with the stubborn "no tagging" bullshit.

I want to see really hard work put into Mitchell, Birchall and Suckling. They don't have to be purely negating tags, but they have to have someone breathing down their neck all day and really punished the other way. They are the play makers. And whoever has Sewell tagging them, they need to be equally accountable.

We know what we're capable of when our intensity is at 100%. Win the ball around stoppages, and pressure the Hawks like we did Geelong in 2010 PF, and we will have ourselves a spot in the prelim. They are a bloody good side, but they are beatable... we just need to switch on.

Last night we saw a team that has averaged 123 points a game, and who had scored 43 to quarter time, look very vulnerable for periods of that game. West Coast were pretty poor in the first half, but in the last quarter I thought they were a good chance to make it very close. We saw a team with 3-5 sore players, don't underestimate how much that affected our performance against North Melbourne following the Sydney game.

We saw a team that is very beatable.

Cloke kicks a bag of 5 goals...

Slowly Slowly the pieces are coming together, ladies and gentlemen.
