Bennell will be lining up in Purple today and I'll be there to see it! Flying into Perth this morning.
Anyone going to the game want to catch up before hand?

We look good on paper, but Geelong too have a strong side. Should be a fierce contest.

- Bennell show us why he went at Pick #2 in the national draft.
- Weller and Langdon to give it their all and demand the match committee select them for Rnd 1.
- Tabs to clunk a few and kick a few against a fairly strong Geelong backline.
- Zac Clarke to put his best foot forward and give 100% effort.
- Ballas and Walters to combine and show us that they are the most dangerous small forward combo.
- See some quick movement out of the backline from Sherro and Hill.

Really excited for today. Not expecting anything in particular just hoping everyone gets through unscathed and some of the young ones stand up and demand consideration for selection. Personally, I think 2016 is a bit of a transition year. I would love to see a changing of the guard so to speak. If guys like Mayne, DeBoer, Dawson, Danyle and Clancee Pearce aren't performing then they should not be persisted with.

It sounds harsh perhaps, but there are players on the sidelines with more raw talent who need to be given the opportunity to flourish. Consider for the moment our new captain David Mundy's career. It took him a while to get going and for the coaching staff to find out what his best position was. There was no Barlow-like explosion on to the scene or Fyfe-like insane second year development. Just a steady, gradual rise through the ranks. These young guys need to be given the opportunity to do the same.

No. I think Indonesia misses a massive opportunity with Wallace. His house is offices for an insurance company I believe. We cannot get our son's school to include his stuff in the curriculum in even a minor way, and Darwin gets almost no reference either.

Cool your jets folks. I doubt Bennell will get more than half a game, and even then with limited time on the field. This morning's West has Bond saying he is more unlikely than likely to be playing round 1. Looks like a very conservative approach with full fitness being reached on GF day I reckon.
