Presuming the Maxwell decision stands or gets downgraded to 2 weeks, at least one player has to come into our round 2 NAB cup clash.

In a word, if you could pick only one player to come into the side, who would it be?

Ill choose MacCaffer, would like to see him up forward against AFL oposition, to see if he is good enough to play a role there this year.

We already know Beams and Sidebottom will play senior footy at some stage this year, so I'd like to see MacCaffer given a chance before the season starts.

Loved to see someone decent in Charlie Manson's number too.

Maxwell's out ! drop Corrie, Dawes and Wellingham for Goldsack, Beames, Sidebottom and Rusling.. By the way Rusling = Gun, by far the best option at FF when fit.

That sounds like a promising alternative, although both Corrie and Wellingham deserve further opportunities soon. Dawes is on a low simmer.

I want us to play all three NAB Cup games so therefore I want to see our strongest possible side on the park. This will give us a good early workout, allow us to blow out the cobwebs before the season proper starts and I hope, launch us into the season with a winning impetus.

Much as it would be interesting to see the new kids, it's more important for our finals chances to have the senior players going well. The right place to see what the new kids have got is in the VFL. So I'd like Rusling or J-mac if fit and if the match-ups can be made to work. I don't mind Ant being rested longer but if neither of these two are up, then in order, McCaffer and Barham.

I think given the competition for medium sized non key position defenders in the team this year and team balance replacing like for like, I'd say Goldsack.

Yeah I agree. Bring in Goldsack as a sub and swap him with Brown at half time and upgrade Stanley to a full player.

Just further to that the players I would leave out for the above would be O'Bree, Lockyer, Swan (or Leon) and probably JA.

The first three don't really have anything to prove and all look like Round 1 certainties based on the WC game and will get another game the next week.

Most people have Dawes going out but I think he needs another week to redeem himself. We know what we are going to get from JA so he could have a spell.

Agree with all the above well left. I would leave Leon in. His a form and confidence based player. While his playing well and building into the season I don't see the need to rest him. So I'd rest O'Bree Tarks Swan and Ja. Further to that with Brown's late season fade and the fact that he is a shoe in for a spot in the best side I'd consider resting him in parts in the nab and allowing L Brown to have a hit out where we supposedly drafted him for and play Cox on the wing. Even if we keep Nater as a sub in case of emergency

Yeah no problems with that. Leroy to get the full game and Nate Brown to be the sub swapping with Goldsack. Cox and Stanley should definitely get the full game after being subs last week.
