I agree, Cox said it happened last week why not come out and say what the scans showed?
 
Nathan's been running full pelt for a while now, he hasn't been in rehab for 5 months at all.

Last time it was a 4 week injure ? and it went on forever, this would be why he didnt play last week wish they would be straight up with us.

Maybe the club were hoping it would be a one week thing? Just a week's rest and he'd be right to go. So they didn't bother telling members and spreading panic, especially with the bye coming up for Sandy. They would just hope we'd think it was the bye and then play him this week - all would be good. Then, maybe, the 'awareness' turned out to be worse than they expected and so theyve come clean.

All the above is conjecture but it makes sense. If they could hide the injury then they may as well. I guess the risk with that is that they'll get canned for covering it up if it gets out, which it has.

They would have scanned it immediately and had the results before the weekend, if the scans showed nothing they surely would have said that.

Idk, probably. I'm trying to defend the club but it's getting hard atm haha.

I'm with most of you either way, the best way to handle these things is transparency.

Some bad news on the Freeman heartburn front.

Left the track early after a relapse this morning

Word is that he has been put on Nexium 20gm twice a day.

Further discussions from the medico's will take place in the next couple of days.

Sounds like he may have to go the full nuclear option of Nexium 40's.

Terrible news.

WOWEE this is becoming a common trend is it not? If this goes on another year you'd almost have to write him off not getting near his potential.

reminds of Rhys Stanley in a way. I loved that guy - he was tall, blonde, fast, athletic, played for St Kilda - everything I ever wanted hahaha. But for his first 4 ish years, we just couldn't get him on the park. Everytime, he'd have a good game, Ping!, his hamstring would go and I'm pretty sure he managed to puncture his lung after taking a huge mark.

Then, one year (2013?), he never got injured again. I saw him get tackled into the ground, get kneed in the face, run full tilt but his hamstrings seemed to have magically healed themselves. So, I wouldn't give up hope of Freeman yet because, bloody hell, if we could get Rhys right, we'll get Freezer right too
