Just got this and enjoying it (mostly). Never played a 2K game before so the number of options/combos is imposing.

About 50% the My Players 1st season as a SG and averaging around 17ppg (highest score is about 33 I think in a 2OT).

Some of the Dynamic Objectives are silly, like score the next 10 points for your team, but then a teammate won't give you the ball despite you excessive calls. Also half my teammates seem ******* when shooting under the rim and rim blocking themselves. Also not liking occasional on D the targets change and in midst of changing my opponent scores etc.

Finally, any advice on how to inbound pass in tight situations without causing a TO? It's killing me and I'm always selected in a close to the wire game.

If you use play calling, inbounds should be fairly easy, just watch the guy making a cut (turn it on if you dont have it on in settings). Hold down r1 if you are on ps3 to get the button icons to appear above the players' heads if you get stuck on an inbound so you can pass to anyone you like quickly

My player question:

Can we play around with the plays being called? I'm a pass first PG and there's no varying play calls available and don't even know what play is being run when I choose "best play". I dished out 15 assists in the Rookie showcase and am playing back up to Steve Nash, 9 mins a game, not doing well when playing though : (

I believe in the options there is somewhere to show what plays are being called and where you should go with markings on the court and what not. - Never tried it so this might not be what you want.

Its in the presentation settings. Turn call plays on for the cpu to call random plays. Also put play art on as well.

L1 (or whatever the xbox equivalent is) then select the player you want to call a play for. To see the full play diagram goto the presentation settings and change the play call vision to full.

Don't bother passing its just going to be a turnover.

I dont understand how so many people are having this issue, I just did a season on MP (Cant play next season for some reason) averaging .1 TO a game. Only passes that got done were stupid long passes.

Ok... just found the "Training Camp" section last night on xbox.

Via the opening Main Menu (where the Online, Legends, MyPlayer etc game type options are), use the Right Analogue stick to bring up the pop-up menu with all the options, search through there and there is an option called "Training Camp" IIRC.

This is what I have been searching for. It takes you in to a one-on-one training camp with Jordan teaching you (Kobe) how to perform the various options in the game.

A pretty cool feature with MJ talking & showing you exactly what control combos to use to perform various things... you then copy him until you get it right.

My only criticism of it so far is it doesen't appear to allow you to pick and choose what training sessions to do. You have to do them all in order: start at the beginning and work down the list.

HTH (sorry if it has been posted before... TLazyTR entire thread).

0.1? Really?

I find I average quite a few turnovers simply because my team is crap and refuses to take shots, passing it back to me right as the shot clock expires. But I agree that people complaining about passing is ridiculous. 2k12 is a simulation and you've gotta play proper ball.

hey guys - i found the training camp but it doesn't save my progress. everytime I leave and go back in I have to start at the beginning again - anyone know how to fix this?

I am wondering how far everyone has progressed with my player.

I have just finished by 4th season and won mvp and got rolled in the first round of the playoffs after we just snuck in. Then signed a new 5 year deal for $13m a season (i think I probably could have gotten more). rated 95 overall.

It is kind of daunting now knowing that I have to start a brand new season again. Is there any way of simming more than just between each key game? It is starting to annoy me how the key games are always against the same teams.

Starting to get annoying?
I'm in season 1 and sick of playing the same teams already.

I have played 4 games online and all have either lagged to the point of not being able to play or they quit when i get two or three baskets in a row.

I want to play people in australia so if anyone is interested in a game of nba2k12 that doesnt lag add me my psn is :

collingwoodfc36

And i dont care win lose draw i just want a decent game that doesnt lag.

In Association.

Fave Highlight play for now.

Bobcats basket left of screen.

Gerald Henderson has the ball, I call for a pick, he drives hard to his left, into the paint, goes up with the left hand, changes hands in mid air to his right and delivers a facial...AND 1.

Still haven't been able to bloody win a game when playing, but going simulation, the 'Cats are kicking ass after I've been the GM for a couple of seasons. Tyrus Thomas is a beast.

recently got this game (figured it was time to upgrade from nba live 08)

epic game, great to have a challenging sports game that has an arcade element to it (not really a fan of sim-style games)

my player is great, particularly having the crowd chant "MVP" when your dominating a season, and them booing you/team if your struggling. the drills are top notch, good to have a training mode inbuilt into the storyline play

I started a Milwaukee Bucks association and through the magic of trade finder I got Kyrie Irving, Eric Gordan and Carl Landry and the only major assets I lost were Brandon Jennings, Stephen Jackson and a 2012 first rounder.

My starting five is Irving, Gordon, Mbah a Moute, Landry, Bogut.

My team is good but not very deep, who are good bench players I can get cheap?

I noticed vince carter drops in value quick on the game, good asset

nene starts as 3rd centre, good backup.

also earl boykins. great player, but being so short, the AI undervalues him... just realised you are the bucks...
