I lost to the Bulls running this play a lot but currently smashing the Cavs so its definitely not a guarantee like STS was. Against the Bulls they guarded my guy like glue.

The Seasons objectives would be great if the shooting was fine. I steer clear of anything involving shooting and I also have no intention of playing online especially with the current state of the game.

The player specific ones are potentially ok but of course it just makes those players ridiculously expensive to buy.

Hopefully a patch can at least make off-line fun because tripke threat is a massive grind and i win most of them now.

It's taken a bit of practice and watching you tube videos, but I'm slowly getting there. Have won a couple of games. I think with that play you need the ball carrier to kinda block the CPU from chasing your cutting player (hold L2). That worked a bit better for me.

Played the Lillard challenge and used it to get 50 points with FA Davis. I can score reasonably well (like 90% in the paint though), but struggle stopping them from scoring. Diamond Paul George would literally push me out of the way and score every time.

Once I got the 50, I tried playing more on fast breaks and quick play and managed to get more of a lead.

Those AD challenges boosted me to level 11, grabbed PD Lanier with my first pick on the last board! Also picked up Amy James Harden.

I still get pretty frustrated with this game, but slowly having more fun. Pick ups like these help!

I will give those AD challenges a crack soon I reckon. I have been too scared to waste FA contracts while getting smashed but I am slowly getting there also.

The ascension stuff is pretty sick. I got to top board first go without landing the big prize and I am keen to try again.

Yes, best thing they added for 2k21.. Wish they'd do this for triple threat offline rewards instead of the agonising ball drops.
 
Has anyone tried the spotlight challenge? I'm using it to get some daily XP and thought it might be a bit more relaxing than Dom as the first game is only on Pro.

**** me it is mental. I had read that Ewing and Starks were tough but no way is this Pro. The entire team knocks down crazy shots. I really hope they get another patch out soon as I am not enjoying running the Pistons play non stop just to give me a chance to win.

A lot of the HOF Dom teams are easier than this mob.

Just played it. Was 6 points up with 4 minutes to go, then the rubber banding kicked in and I lost by 10. **** this game.

Is it too much to ask that they make Pro difficulty actually Pro difficulty?
 
I'm enjoying it, challenging shots doesn't seem to have an effect on defense.

I've done the 93 Knicks game on the first spotlight challenges, won by 20.

Pretty much got the hang of the shot aiming but I find myself getting beaten a lot on the perimeter defensively because I over-commit, you really can't play all the way up on players unless you have a good defender.

Also anyone having issues I second the suggestion to get Amy Derrick Rose, card is a lightning blur.
 
Just did the Celtics game of the Spotlight Challenge, won that by 30 but they absolutely need to boost the effectiveness of challenging shots.

Diamond KG and Diamond Pierce wouldn't miss no matter how contested the shot was.

Amy Rose/Ruby Lillard
Amy Houston/Ruby Luka/Sapphire Kobe
Ruby Rashard/Sapphire Simmons
Sapphire Zion
Sapphire Shaq/Ruby KAT

Houston and Rose are sick cards, nailed 5/5 triples with Houston and Rose just dunks on everyone.

I recommend off-balling if you're struggling, just exploit mismatches.

The Celtics game I just used Shaq as a roaming paint protector because Perkins is useless and you don't need to guard him anywhere but at the rim.

Amy Rose is still super expensive (80k). All other Amy's have dropped in price, can get Giannis, LeBron and AD for around 40k. Picked up Durant for 25k hoping to sell him for around 35k but could only get 28k and break even in the end given the price drops. You can almost get Diamond Bird for cheaper than Amy Rose! It's crazy.

Any tips for stopping them from scoring? That seems to be the most trouble I have at the moment.

I managed to pack Amy Rose so I didn't know the price.

Defense is a bit of a pain because challenging shots doesn't seem to do much to alter shooting percentages but my gameplan has been to basically off ball with one of my bigs. I usually use the big that is defending a non-shooter because they are essentially useless unless they're in the paint which then they are easy to cover, just play as a roaming paint protector.

I found that I was able to force a lot of turnovers because they'd try thread the needle to the open big but I was always there to pick it off.
 
I think there's some sort of issue with the AI shot percentages, and how they scale at different difficulties. They seem to get the exact same boosts you do, so when playing on rookie/pro they never miss. On HOF they actually miss open shots, and contests actually matter.

I don't know what game you're playing, but the ****ing AI on HOF, especially in MyTeam, does NOT ****ing miss. They make almost every ****ing shot on the planet, and I can't make wide open shots with great shooters to save my life. If it isn't green, it doesn't go in.

Just played my first domination game, got 3 stars on the Raptors.

Blew them out 61-39 and held them to 33% shooting at 15% on threes, I'm telling you roaming big man is the way to go.

Shot 63% from the field and 43% from deep.

For an early back court the Amy Rose and Amy Houston pairing is sick.

I use the Kobe release but with shot aiming I'm not sure the release cheese is that important this year.

If you're using 2k20 controls I always found KATs release easy to cheese with.
