If not the list manager than who did?

Eddie/board/coteries. Shit Dodoro has been around for 20 years and couldn’t trade Daniher without the say so of Richardson. What do you think a late thirties greenskin like Guy could do.

All clubs, not just Collingwood, are never specific when it comes to who makes these sort of decisions. “Everyone has input” which to me is a way of spreading the fallout from any bad decision made.

At the end of 2018, was it Ned Guy who pushed all the cards in for the next two year window or others ? Who knows

spot on. Intentionally hides the shot callers to avoid clear lines of responsibility. It’s ass covering 101.

Watch Ned get picked up in a year or two somewhere if he shuts his mouth because he’s a good company man.

So since 2017:

- Beams debacle
- Grundy 7 year, 7 million dollar contract
- Treloar's massive contract and subsequent departure
- Stephenson, Phillips shipped off for peanuts
- Traded Pick 2 for 2x mid-range second round picks*

Are we missing anything?

Yeah whether he was responsible or not, he "should" have been responsible for those decisions as a list manager, so position was pretty untenable

Gubby Allen filled their cap to the brim, then Eddie led the charge for Beams that had it bursting at the sides.

Everything since then was what pretty much anyone else would do or had to do.

You have to kick money in to future years using highly paid players like Treloar.

You had to sign Grundy on a long term deal to keep his cap number in the 900's. Obviously that's still a heap for a ruckman but what team that's right in their window is going to trade away one of their top 5 players?

Then this year they had to shift money out and it's on the whole football club for the failed execution. Head of footy, coach, list manager, head of communications, player welfare staff etc.

im just happy the chaos isn't at our club for once. its nice

COLLINGWOOD list boss Ned Guy will step down from his role after this year's Mid-Season Rookie Draft, just months after the club's tumultuous Trade Period.

Guy, who arrived at Collingwood at the end of 2017, was forced to oversee last year's aggressive list overhaul that saw Adam Treloar move to the Western Bulldogs, Jaidyn Stephenson shipped to North Melbourne and Tom Phillips traded to Hawthorn.

I doubt it.
CEO would be organising off field.

President, GM of Football, Coach and List Manager would be the ones most involved.
President mostly in the big name signjng and contracts.
Bigfooty Nuffs dont have a clue how clubs are run. CEO rubber stamps it but it's not the CEO calling brisbane offering two first rounders and telling players to take less money to fit in Beam's contract

Wright’s presser is hilarious.
Why do they even bother trotting out that sh*te.
Every man and his dog new Ned was gunna have to walk the plank ...

Wright's last 5 years at Hawthorn have been spotty (at best)

Not convinced he will be able to salvage/turn Collingwood's fortunes around like many Pies fans are hoping (Least not as quickly as they would like)
