It's nothing more than bored/sad people looking for something to give them some meaning and something to do. Being outraged with a group of people gives them a sense of community like our ancestors in their tribes. I'm not sure why any attention is ever paid to these things as they're just so dumb. People used to spend their free time thinking about god and going to church etc, but now that time hasn't been replaced by anything of meaning.
I might argue that the time spent thinking about God and going to Church had no meaning either...

Drove past Kings at around 9am this morning...... Completely empty.

People need to tweet shit like this and get it out there. It's such a pisstake this stuff.

Have the Crows said that the oval that will be on Kings Reserve won't be available to the public at all? Is there room for something like a dog park there?

Think the 5AA Sports show Tweeted something similar

In their latest Notes on Adelaide podcast, InDaily interviewed someone from the Parklands Preservation Society.

They didn't do their cause any favours in the pod - pretty much the usual mumbling rubbish they pedal, and some bizarre comparison to Central Park in relation to the new Womens and Children's Hospital.

Just shows how delusional some of these NIMBY's are

It'll be "restricted access" which basically means if the Crows use it then you'll be asked to stay off. Given that'll be during the 9-5 and likely never on weekends I can't see it being a huge deal since most everyone will be at school/work during the times the Crows use it.

This has been a running theme on this thread, every time someone drives past, they note that the park is completely empty.
It's not an isolated post, of which I then could understand your comment.

Is anyone surprised that it's always empty, it's in the middle of an industrial area !!!

For anyone that lives around that area, I would love to know how close housing actually is to that oval because I wouldn't be shocked f there's no housing within a 1 kilometre radius of the reserve.

It never gets used and I would bet the closest that those who are complaining about it ever get to the reserve is when they drive past it on the way to Woolworths at the Brickworks.

Same bloke used to sell his pies and pasties at the front gate at the Globe Derby trots and Angle Park dogs for years and years too.
I remember him at Thebby and a few other grounds. Must have been a few others. It made my day after the Torrens losses. Great pasties.

There's a strong flavour of parody. And I'd expect a wealthy resident on East Terrace to have better handwriting :)

maybe they got one of the servants to write it

There's plenty of housing around from the next street over. Just Ashley is commercial.

Mate, if it's just for the AFL team, it's used for max 10hrs a week honestly. Maybe a bit more in pre-season. I guess SANFL plus the women too but a lot of this training would also be on the current main Thebby Oval. It'll be maintained to a higher standard too. Bunch of nuffies these blokes.
