It'll be "restricted access" which basically means if the Crows use it then you'll be asked to stay off. Given that'll be during the 9-5 and likely never on weekends I can't see it being a huge deal since most everyone will be at school/work during the times the Crows use it.
It’ll be used on the weekends during the womens season, play on Thebby and kings reserve will be used for parking,

Although that will only 5-7 weeks throughout the year.

Is anyone surprised that it's always empty, it's in the middle of an industrial area !!!

For anyone that lives around that area, I would love to know how close housing actually is to that oval because I wouldn't be shocked f there's no housing within a 1 kilometre radius of the reserve.

It never gets used and I would bet the closest that those who are complaining about it ever get to the reserve is when they drive past it on the way to Woolworths at the Brickworks.
To be fair there is housing that backs righg onto Kings reserve and gates with direct access. The problem is that not many people use it. And those people can still use it....most of the time.

I didn't realise that.

I've driven down Ashwin Parade a number of times and just assumed the whole area was industrial.

I’ve friends who luve in within 100 metres of Kings Reserve on Meyer St. The skate area and playground isn’t really that visible from Ashwin Parsde (road past the brickworks).

Having said that, they’re not that concerned but would like to have access enshrined in an MOU given the changes that have occurred to public access in other developments like the West Coast Eagles where grounds can’t be accessed while being maintained.

When i lived on Meyer St the park was used a lot and a heap as a staging ares for the aquatic centre on Meyer St.

Yes it was during footy season.

I certainly should know given I parked my car on it going to our games at Thebarton in the 1970’s.
Hmm possibly to the left of the pitches I guess. Not on the deck though. I should know, I played about 50 games of cricket there.

I went to primary school in the area in the 90s and went to look at houses when purchasing last year. The difference between then and now is stark... The price rises have already hit.

That's a fair call, prices have gone bananas everywhere.

It's funny you mention schools, good public ones impact prices too...perhaps they should include one in the plan....get even more support.

Not big enough for a school, but perhaps a day care centre? They seem to be popping up everywhere at the moment. Big demand for places, too, I think.
