One of the complaints was it's got a 42 year lease on it, with an option for another 42 years after that, so it wasn't fair that his kids kids wouldn't get a say in the matter. So now those who aren't even alive need to be consulted!
In 42 years it will be something that's already there and people would complain if AFC left

Lack of consultation and (I believe) Loss of access to greenspace. Even though the ovals will be public access when they're not in use for training.

So a whole lot of "Old man yells at cloud" about it.
What level of consultation cant be achieved in the 4 weeks given? I mean, they have been able to raise their concerns in that 4 weeks, what else are they going to do?

Where has this protesting been when Kings was going to be used as a builders yard?
Where has this protesting been when Thebby Oval has been surrounded in wire and fencing for the last decade (minimum)?
Where will the protesting be when all this area is developed at cost to the Crows?
What gets me and I'm happy to be informed, but why is everyone always so against the Crows in this state. They generate massive income and provide so much statewide emotional stability when they are up and about, it just baffles me.
It's not the Crows.
It's development, period.
And to be fair, it's usually a very vocal minority, usually older demographic, but the rest of us are just too apathetic to drown them out.

It's genuinely embarrassing how these idiots run around trying to stop any and all development.
They have no idea why they don't like it. Other than it's some sort of change. It's pathetic. The swimcentre one at North Adelaide was a classic. Whinge it up and then it costs $80m of government money. Just ridiculous.

It's nothing more than bored/sad people looking for something to give them some meaning and something to do. Being outraged with a group of people gives them a sense of community like our ancestors in their tribes. I'm not sure why any attention is ever paid to these things as they're just so dumb. People used to spend their free time thinking about god and going to church etc, but now that time hasn't been replaced by anything of meaning.

Didn’t the letter mention the Crows Kool aid? Clearly this is either an anti football or anti Crows supporter. Once I read that switched off to the rest of his argument

Im pretty sure it was actually "Kool Aide"

Made it obvious he was trying to use as many buzz words as possible, but lacks the intelligence to even know what it actually is.

There are comments about a skate park. Is there a skate park there now?

Seriously, this is a football club that generates millions of $$$$ in revenue for this state.

Tell the whingers to focus on more important issues.

I think there is a skate park there, but not sure on the quality.

Would there not be enough room left over to build a better one?

The land is not owned by the residents, end of story. Council can do what it likes. South Australians seem to be very unique because we seem to have an inherent ability to act like the biggest victims in the world over the smallest of issues. Complain about everything and everything. Its really tiresome. No area stays the same and progress will happen. For those people who don't like it, they are free to move to an area that suits them.

How's the kid (Obviously being fed a line from her parents/grandparents) "Please don't replace our greenspace with an oval"

What do you think a sports oval is made from?

The young girl says “we may not be able to have dogs on the oval”. Well I hope you are not one of those dog owners who don’t pick up their dogs shit!

It’s the same everywhere..

the gold coast is even worse than Adelaide for NIMBY’s in my experience.. having lived for 20 years in both city’s..

you should hear the fxxkn carry on about the trams at the moment from the cashed up conservative old farts (boomers) in Palm Beach.. mind you, this cohort has only moved into Palmy in the last 10 years..

But seriously, you’d think their whole world was about to collapse.. “it’s gonna ruin the tranquility and heritage of Palmy!!” they squeal…

Just 10-20 years ago Palmy was a suburb full of smackies, dole bludgers and single mothers with uncontrollable kids.. not much heritage to savour!…

hilarious part… the head of the “no trams in Palmy” group’s name is Karen!.. and she lives up to it!..

I live close to Henley Beach Road and I am crying out for a tram line. Something must happen to your mind at a certain age [emoji1787]

Nothing worse than walking in the park/oval and having to dodge the :poo::poo::poo: from irresponsible dog owners.

When I think of Thebarton as my folks are Eagles supporters and me a Sturt supporter. I remember coming out of Eagles games as a young kid and a guy out the front of the gates selling hot pasties. Once you got your hot pocket on a cold day, he would cover them back up with hessian bags.
Same bloke used to sell his pies and pasties at the front gate at the Globe Derby trots and Angle Park dogs for years and years too.

If you really need to go to the ED you're not driving either. you're riding in an ambulance. If you're driving to ED or being driven to ED you don't need to be there.

Public transport to visit? Sure you can.

Being driven to the ED you don’t need to be there?
My father was vomiting blood and an ambulance wasn’t going to be available for 90 minutes.

Public transport to visit - after hours 6-8 pm in winter. Yes, lovely taking and hour to get there and and hour to get home.

I have driven myself to ED before, I have a chronic lung condition and caught influenza earlier this year. My specialist wanted to admit me to a ward for a course of IV antibiotics but the only way they could get me in was to go through ED due to lack of beds available in the ward. I wasn't sick enough to call an Ambulance but I still needed to get into the hospital so I just drove myself there.

I am sure there are plenty of cases like mine where people are able to drive themselves in to the hospital, doesn't mean they don't need to be there.
