You'd have to be a pretty sad, pathetic individual to attend a council meeting and complain about having a sporting ground improved from millions of dollars of investment

Oh there are a lot of these type of individuals around and they should be told to **** off.

If the AFC is actually improving the precinct what is their problem?

My understanding is that Thebarton Oval as it currently stands is not available for access by the general public but under the new proposal both ovals we will be available to the general public.

I’ve read the agenda and the CEO’s comments that’s got the nuff nuffs in a bother.

All he’s done is said there’s a public consultation that’s been set up and details of which have been publically available from the outset. Also been mass media attention on it.

The nuffs want the:
  • the consultation extended. No reason for this.
  • available in different languages. Fair enough. Surprised if this isn’t already the case.
  • exclude non council residents. I think this is actually illegal.

4 weeks ago they were aware the AFC wanted Thebarton? The AFC advised some time ago when Brompton was lost (prior to the State election) that they were exploring Thebarton.

Seriously, have they been living in caves?

Interestingly in the letter he talks about working with them to get a solution? Yes, I wonder what that would be.

On what basis does he think most people agree with him?

Council meetings are a very big sample size.
And quite a few would've been there out of curiosity to the proposal and have not made up their mind.

It’s a bit like Ports whingeing about the prison bars. “Show some leadership and give us what we want”

How about show some leadership and …. Don’t ?

You don’t catch a bus to visit someone or use the ED

If you really need to go to the ED you're not driving either. you're riding in an ambulance. If you're driving to ED or being driven to ED you don't need to be there.

Public transport to visit? Sure you can.

I mean if you broke your wrist or foot falling over at night, or need to be checked for concussion, you can probably be driven there, and you don't really have other urgent care options. You just might be waiting a long time.
