On that basis we should train at Richmond Oval or Alberton to better match AO.

Here are the AFL oval dimensions ranked in order of sq metres of space per player.

No wonder we can’t win at the “G” with its width - we don’t have midfielders who can run and defend.

After a game in the city .....no-one is going anywhere, except to the city to celebrate .....the historical happenings with the "shed" are exactly that, historical .....time to move on with modern sport
True. All this talk about going back to clubrooms after the game is bollocks.

I have no issue where the AFC set up their headquarters.
Would actually like to see this project called

“The Barton”

The only other option for the nRAH would have been to buy an entire city block and build up, like the new Calvary but bigger in every direction - and large hospitals are expensive, especially when you're building them in the now while trying to incoprorate as much unpredictable future proofing for the next half century as possible. That's why the comparably sized and aged Fiona Stanley Hospital in Perthmantle also cost $2 billion.
It should have been built in Victoria Park.

Yeah, nah. They built it in the perfect spot.

Need to have the infrastructure that allows people into it. And where it is, is without a doubt the best spot to build it.

Victoria Park I think would've actually been a great location for our training grounds tbh. And if we couldn't have the admin there, just put it across the road and pay for a bridge similar to what PAC has over The Parade West for their boarders.

The North terrace location is dreadful for parking. It’s dogs breakfast dropping people off and the car park is usually full by 11

Your issue is the parking?
Sheesh.

Been to Calvary?
The old Calvary?
Burnside?
Old RAH?
Womens and Childrens?
Memorial?
Ashford?
St Andrews?

Are you entitled or something? If it's not absolutely perfect you'll complain?

Opportunity to make parking NOT an issue.
Fail.
The North Terrace location is the guts of 3 major roads.
Peak hour it is a nightmare.

It's almost brand new on an clean slate.
They could have thought the parking area through a bit better. I.e, compare to that massive court yard in the guts of the Hospital where nobody goes.

Adelaide has more car parks in the CBD per capita than anywhere else in the country, and there are still more to come - I can't find the details now, but there's a massive private one that has been approved for West Tce somewhere near the North Tce corner. The Adelaide CBD has a sick obsession with cars and car parks, to the detriment of a lot of things.

What the RAH really needs is better links to a better public transport system.

Drove past today ( as everyday) and I had a thought. It wont matter what the residents say about an oval - or what they want - as the roadworks will impact them more than some training cones ever will

You don’t catch a bus to visit someone or use the ED

As anticipated everyone at that meeting is 65 and over.

It's literally the same crowd who tried to ******* block Adelaide oval.

Absolutely bonkers how Adelaide is still held to ransom by this lot.
The talk I recall when we were looking at the Aquatic Centre and got turned down there is the West Torrens Council and a lot of residents were very pro the Crows moving down. It's not like this has been held a secret for a long time, it's been a potential site for years and was gonna get redeveloped if the Crows were coming or not, so I'm not sure how they're feeling like the wool has been pulled over their eyes

They don't. They're just looking for any excuse because they're against change.

Last week in the paper they were complaining that they're losing the bowls club and the playground. Even though that was always going with the South Road upgrade. But now it's the Crows' fault.
