Come and pre order from me

I have a comp running at my store for people who pre order too

Just a quick question glenno does eb the company set up a pre order bonus for every store.

Or is it up to the branch or store owner such as yourself as store owner to set up a bonus ?

All bonuses are sorted out by our buying team and the vendors

We get 1st preference on 95% of pre order exclusives being the largest video game retailer in the country

Anything we don't think is worth it, we let go, and then JB and the rest can decide what they want

We can set up individual comps in our stores (as long as its legit) but that is at the managers cost

If it cost the manager does that mean as you are the manager the profit from a comp you set up goes to you.

Or does it go back to the company even though you set up the comp ?

No we don't get to see any profit. The reason a manager would have an extra "giveaway" is to increase sales/ pre orders. Sometimes there is a comp for the stores that get the most pre orders win prizes and the such, so thats why some managers add some extra stuff in

Anyplace out there that is able to take a pre-order on an international order from Canada? (at a fair shipping price)

I'll take your pre order. I'll only charge you whatever it costs me to ship it and the cost of the game. (will not charge full RRP for you either)

I'll even post it release day :thumbsu:

PM to hook something up

Don't know if you can answer this or not but why is it that eb games can sell new release games for between 100-110 dollars usually 110 dollars.

But the likes of jb and big w sell their new release games for between 79-100 dollars usually about 80-89 dollars is the average in big w.

Glenno, are the Replays in this game worth watching?
On games such as NBA I never watch the replays simply because it's not exciting. Unless it's a buzzer beater I usually don't like to watch it.

Would you watch half the Replays during this Game?
(sorry if discussed)

We sell at the RRP becuase we are a specialist gaming store

Games actually have a very low margin to be made. A game that has an RRP of 119.95, would cost around $95 from the publisher (for us to buy). Take into account freight to send it to a store, we have to pay someone to unload the stock, then pay the sales person, there is not a lot of $ left

Places like Big W and JB have other departments (TV's furniture, stereos etc) that have a much higher margin.

By having the cheaper price they get people through the door in the hop they will have an impulse buy and make some more money.

Surely that's just personal preference. What's not exciting to you may be exciting for the next guy.

An NBA fan might say the same thing about an AFL game, eg; "I don't watch the replays unless it's a speccy", purely because he finds NBA more exciting than AFL.

Asking about the graphics or camera angles of the replays makes sense, but asking if you will find the replays more 'exciting' than you do in the NBA games is very speculative and as I said, comes down to your personal preference.

In saying that, I think with the way the player models have turned out, I probably won't be skipping too many replays, especially within the first few weeks of playing it.

Haha fair call then! Are there a wide diverse range of supporters on the staff or is it all locked to 3-4 teams?

We've got a good spread as I like to think we have the best talent in the industry from all around Australia. We've got people from everywhere except the NT.

If some fresh blood arrives from OS then of course I corrupt them as best I can and they follow the mighty Bluebaggers! :)

Whenever I get someone from EB I just say "they're selling it at JB for 20 dollars less". I don't exactly know this for sure but I assume it's true and 9/10 times they match the price without checking either. I only shop at EB and not JB in the first place because of the 7 day return policy, better range and nicer atmosphere.

Also, a quick question, how much better does the PC version look in comparison with the 360 and PS3 versions? I know that they'll be running the same engine (well I'm assuming they will be) but a bit of AA can make a world of difference. I'm assuming the PC version has 360 controller support? I have a 360, PC and Wii and will get it on PC most likely and possibly the Wii too.

How much is this game going to cost?

RRP is $109.95, but i assume you will be able to pick it up from somehwerre for $79 on launch

Ross has stated that the 360 controller will work for PC. You do know the PC version will be out much later than the console versions yeah?

Considering we don't have a date for the console ones, no one knows. Ross may have a general idea of how long they want to hold it back

They are releasing it later to slow down the piracy of the game i believe

This is the first I've heard on the matter. I hate this whole tail wagging the dog mentality when it comes to PC and piracy.

Quick question for Ross...if it can be answered. Just wondering with created players will they have an auto-generated picture on profile or team select screens? (Kind of like in NBA 2K11)

Thanks

Yeah it'd be nice if they had a computer generated profile and not just a blank "insert picture here" profile.

Definitely. However one of the indicators that this may NOT be in is that it only got into bigger sports games like NBA only last year. There is probably a fair work of programming and graphics work behind it.
