Ahh ok fair enough. I think I'm all out of questions now, very keen to see the game in action. I don't think we can expect anyone to stop speculating on a release date, everyone wants it! Good thing as far as sales are concerned ;)

All the best with the game, i look forward to press release and some gameplay vids :D:thumbsu:

its quite clear its a 2010 release, otherwise bigant would remove the banner on the site.

maybe a sentance from you bigant saying 2010 or 2011 would quash the speculations, or is that too much information?

We know you are not doing that on purpose, but if people took notice, of what you say, what it says on your website , what has been said about the game, they should work it out for themselves, that the game should be coming out sooner rather than later.

We appreciate the info you are feeding us, it is just a shame that certain people complain about not knowing a release date, whinging that it would be crap if it came out next year and so on, they need to relax and be patient

I remember him saying that a few bigfooty members got their names on there (unsure of the details) and said in the next version that we'd be able to make a public list.

Never happened of course, because a next game was never made.

It would be a cool if a competition or something could happen, maybe 3 or 5 members got their surnames in the game. Wish my name was a bit more common or a family member made it in the AFL :(

Did you not read the last line of his post? Seriously, "I hope the speculation about the release date can stop - I am not giving hints or expecting people to "read between the lines" in any of my posts." That is as far as he's going because he is under strict legal guidelines from the publisher. HE LITERALLY CANNOT SAY IT.

I can guarantee one thing for you though, the game will be out in 2010 or 2011 until then you have to wait as knowing the release date won't actually make it come out any quicker either if you didn't know. Done, dusted, nobody needs to ask or say more.

really? cause i can recall certain people saying well if there is a career mode there must be a draft.

you know what they say about assuming things? it makes an ass out of you and me!

and how can you say something if its not fact? bigant has never come out and said it will be released next year.

Ross has already said on numerous occassions that they, as developers do not control the date of release for the game. The publisher, Tru Blu does and as of yet have not announced a release date.

Yeah, well (and I think I can say now...?) I was one of the lucky one's who got on because I helped with something for them from that game.

I think it seems too far gone now to get some in to this one, but maybe depending if BigAnt stick around for the following years development we could have something to get our names in?

From what you described in regard to the ruck contest in a previous thread (which is quoted in the FAQ), the ruck contest sounds awesome and a big improvement on the previous versions, ie timing your jump and the relevance of attributes etc.

Lucky! What did you help him with, if you don't mind me asking?

Well that all depends if the new draftees are going to be included in this version (thus requiring new names recorded) or not... who knows?!

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to, but I will say it was from me acquiring a copy of AFL 99 and handing it on to FH. How these were acquired and handed on is a mystery though...:cool:

True, but gathering from Commetti being there already you'd assume there's no more to be done there (all of this comes back to the stuff we've already heard about release date so I cbf getting into that though).

I guess all we can hope is that at least for future versions we might be able to get something to get our names in.:)

It has been changed from saying 2010, to TBA. I know it still says 2010 in the FAQ's. But it also used to say it in the release date in the info box.

I'm not saying i'm the be all and end all of release dates. i'm just trying to keep a lid on things. I do hope it comes out this year. But all the evidence says it won't.

Taking the 2010 release date off the site has my instincts saying it will be February-March 2011. It would make so much sense for that.

BUT, they are releasing a Rugby game at the end of rugby season. So you neevr know.....

Did that part ever actually say 2010? I thought the only place saying 2010 was the banner, could be and probably am wrong though.

I guess anyway you look at it you could speculate about anything, some things point to a 2011 release and others point to a 2010 release. I only guess it would be a 2010 release due to info about the game, lists, commentary, and by the way its safe to say the GC are in due the comment about you can have 1 custom team, or gut the 17 others etc

Every piece of info suggest the game is "done" , based on this seasons list player looks etc, but then who knows whether that means it will be a 2010 release.

Best case is for everyone that it does come out in 2010, worst case 2011, people need to be patient and just relax , and when we know we will know!

We could sit here for months just debating/speculating anything and everything to do with the game (features/release etc ) , because until we read an official press release, we won't know.

Am loving the interest shown in the game though, and the info we have received so far has been very positive, and loving the enthusiasm every has for this AFL game out.

Oh and the Rugby game only was "announced" not to long ago was it, and it is coming out in Sept without to much info etc about it

and just on the boots, will there be official brad boots or just plain made up ones? and will you be able to choose when creating a player?
