Analysis New Best 22 thread

Thought I'd start up a new best 22 thread since I love doing a 22 and I couldn't find the old one.

So yeah, BigFooty Tigers, what do you think is our best 22.... OR what 22 would you like to see run out?

This is a 22 I'd like to see run out one match this year.

I know some have knocks on Lennon, but pinch hitting in the midfield I think he could be very handy. Looked decent against Dogs VFL side. Can also have Caddy playing more inside mid as a result of Lennon being forward.

This is also assuming Griffiths doesn't get back.

Since my kids got the afl evolution game we have been trying to decide what lineup we like best. Its easy to pick the first 15. But trying to fit 12 players into the last 7 spots is tricky.

Its hard when you have the players names you like but to put them in the team you need to put them in a possie that doesnt really suit them...

we do run a bit short, so i'd have lennon over lloyd as he is a 190cm mid sized forward that can play from the goal square.

No way you play Astbury forward. Very good defender and a nothing forward at this point. Elton played as well as Griffiths would on the weekend. More improvement and some goals would see him overtake Griffiths

I really love what Georgy gives us, but there's a decent line of players competing for his position - Edwards, Bolton, Stengle, and maybe even Lennon and Lloyd too, if the Selection Committee decide to go for a marking player over a quick one.

Yeh in time, Castagna ideally gets replaced by someone like Bolton, I expect we may see that change as early as late this year, with it becoming pretty permanent from next year on. Butler who I rate isn't an automatic pick either, particularly if Lloyd and Stengle continue to impress at VFL.

Markov having a bad year? For a second year player I reckon that's unfair. I'm disappointed with Vlas and both Ellis' but that's about it.

I hear ya, I think though the 3 small Quicks in our forward line are integral to bringing the pressure though they might be hit and miss every now and then but that's to be expected given their age and experience. Still, Bolton and Stengle could be two upgrades in time over what we have now.

Agree. So much fun to watch them cause havoc. And plenty of competition for spots.

I do see injuries are starting to hurt us now. The team we are putting out presently in beginning to look very much like the last years team. This worries me. I appreciate that players such as McIntosh, Markov, Rioli and Short all have at least a years worth of experience under their belts now but adding Castagna and Bulter into the team with them, we have a very inexperienced team currently. When games it close young players need direction and without more older/level heads around them to guide them, I worry we may lose these types of games.

This is why we really need our second tier players up and firing. It's disappointing that players such as Edwards, Conca, Prestia, Griffiths and Vlaustin can't stay on the park for longer periods of the season. We can cover them for a time but to really push up the ladder this year we need as many solid bodied, consistent operators running out for us. This week will be a test for us now

Love georgy but his decision making is quite poor. Stengle will play b4 end of year a true footballers bolton will come in the next 2 -3 weeks his game on Saturday was a ripper
