I never buy any merch with advertising on it.

I would remove the advertising from the jumper altogether now we can't even spend all our profit on the football dept.

esc0bar , I owe you an apology! :P

This is all Buckley's fault, this would have never happened if Malthouse was still our coach. Malthouse handed Buckley the best version of the logo on an absolute platter in 2011 but then Buckley took over and couldn't follow through... Now we're going to have to do a "mini rebuild" and pick up some new companies as our current window of sponsorship is closing at a rapid pace. We were meant to have a sponsorship dynasty but everybody knows the best years are now behind Emirates and CGU.

The Wizard -> Aussie logo change happened on Malthouse's watch.

Do not like it. I know it's a very minor thing but it just looks ugly to me, especially the back

Only decent version of the CGU logo on our jumper was the 2011 model...

This was also the best jumper because the AFL logo was gold...

1. CGU would be paying upwards of 1 million dollars for the partnership. I'm sure Pert and the commercial team wouldn't have cared what colour it was.
2. The reason they have chosen green is because it is striking and catches the eye. The old black and white CGU logo on the guernsey would have given CGU very little media value/commercial return. But the new green one will bring them loads more coverage which in turn, will allow Collingwood to negotiate a much higher price when they move to renew the sponsorship.
3. The promotion & media coverage around this change has been huge and CGU have already got their value ten fold. The fact that us supporters are talking about it means the brand team at CGU have done their job brilliantly.
4. Everybody wins.
