New Demon Mascots

Hey Guys,

The new mascots have been released. This is the main one, named Checker.

I've been working for the club through this year and drew these mascots for them. I also did the Christmas cards and something that will be released early next week.

What do you all think of them?
 
Great work dude! Having three mascots for each age bracket is very clever, will they also have three costumes on gd?

Dig the 1940's style as well!

Thanks mate. I think it's just the 2 older one's that will have costumes, but that might change.
 
I like It. Great bit of marketing telling the story of the three demons. I can see a lot of kids wearing their demon horns to the footy next year.

Like them! Definitely an improvement on Ronald Rotten.

I'd like to see impartial opinions on them though...

The dad? just needs a little more blue in between his eye brows and it's Gary Lyon.

My only actual critisizm is the leg on the teenager, why does it get so skinny like that? Looks very akward and unnatural.
 
Would be good to get some of the younger members out there in a costume for the little demon.


Possibly run a competition a couple of times a year and get the young ones involved. My nephew would absolutely love to get in on it!

Great work once again by the administration. They are fantastic IMO. And the reference to Checker Hughes and naming the Demon, then Jimmy with the teenage Demon, and giving something for the younger Demon fans with Cheeky. All 3 represent something significant about our club, the past (Checker), the present (Jimmy), and the future (Cheeky).
 
'Chuck' doesn't strike me as a name of Irish heritage but really over all they look good and hopefully resonate with the intended target audiences.

'Checker' is a great name for the main mascot.

Looks bloody fantastic. Really well done mate.

Interesting sidenote, who wears the get-up on game day? Is it one person or does it vary week to week. How does one begin in the career of mascotry?

Please tell me Checker is going to replace Rotten Ronald Dee Mann.
Checker looks a lot like Russell Robertson.
Whereas Rotten Ronald reminds me of Marge's gay friend John from The Simpsons:

I'm being devils adcovate here but what is the point of having 2 if the only difference between them is one has a beard, small pupils and bottom teeth whilst the other doesn't.

Also what is the point of having poor old Cheeky if he doesn't come to games. Could you make a little kid one and then find a small teen/midget woman (bigsexc probably knows one) to be him at the games.
 
Hey Chopper, being a Brisbane Lion's supporter and seeing how my club has butchered our lion logo this season, it is refreshing to see what you have come up with regarding the Demon mascots for the MFC. I absolutely love it. Also my uncle, who is a passionate Melbourne supporter and a Foundation Hero member this year received a great print from the club for his generosity of the 1940 Grand final. It is a great piece of artwork. Is this your work also.

I assumed the thin calves were a tribute to Adem Yze's matchstick legs.
 
It would have been nice to see a female mascot, hardly any merchandise for us and now this. Clearly MFC think that women don't like football...:thumbsd:
